Death Recon
Ok so here is a shot of the tan cadpat top I'll get to dyeing it within the next week I think that once dyed it will look closer to the on screen soft armour camo pattern then the Brittish DPM's
Death Recon
Ran to the store and picked up a few supplies. Just the basics before I grab my dremmel tool anyways. 3M automotive bondo, sandpaper, and a few masks so I don't die of cancer later I'm going to start on my bucket first seeing as I will need the dremmel tool for everything else. chilledmilk
yup. loots good, the bondo worked great on helmet. i bondo'ed the poo out of the inside of visor. i wanted it smooth and clean to get rid of the sharp edges and what not. Death Recon
Well, first time for everything I guess. Me and Bondo don't seem like good friends now but just you wait and see I'll beat the £#¥% out of it till I get it how I want. I think I used to much hardner is all, take a look at the left side. I can sand that out in the morning, no worries.
chilledmilk
dont even worry. ya it hardened when it was still on spreader. it alll works out. mine still looks like garbage. havent had time to go back and clean it up.
Death Recon
Well, lil more work on the helmet... Put a bunch more bondo on the inside of the visor but hike waiting for that I started to reshape the right side and fill in some of the cracks The right ear piece wasn't as crisp or as rounded as the left so I had to add a bit of bondo to it, still have to bring it back a lil more but almost have it Seems I had to take it back quit a bit Here's the visor all filled in just need to sand her down
chilledmilk
yours looks just about how mine does. dont forget about the sharp bend in middle of the sides. dont want to lose that detail.
Death Recon
Well more to post tomorrow or the next day, just picked up 95% of the supplies I needed... But mainly the 250 piece rotary tool I was waiting to go on sale ($40 down from $130)

Death Recon
Yeah this kit came with everything I think I'll need. It's the mastercraft 1.5 amp, 5K-35K rpm.
Death Recon
Even though I can only work on this for an hour or two a day I've gotten a lot down with the helmet... I noticed the visor was pulled a little more on the left side so I trimmed it down, had some issues along the way but here is everything cut out Oh and it JUST fits on my head... LoL, I've trimmed the hole as much as possible an it still scraps the sides of my head when I put it on
Death Recon
Been working on my soft parts all day: -Redid my BDU pants pouches; -Almost finished my BDU tunic; -Finished my tan Cadpat tunic, still needs to be dyed; -Started on my Cummerbund, still need to find the proper elastic strips though
chilledmilk
elastic strips? isnt it just webbing, like backpack straps. but grey
Death Recon
Well that's gonna make it easier to find! Hmm I thought it was elastic... I'm going out tomorrow for more supplies.
Drewid
I used 3/4" black elastic for the two black vertical strips on the front. The rest is 1.5" silver/gray seatbelt webbing. At least that's what I used
Death Recon
Worked on my BDU tunic today, 99% finished top&bottoms... - going to shorten arms and legs - still need to add velcro closures so they can be more form fitting (might solve some issues with fabric bunching up as putting on boots/gloves) - I still need a good trooper from overseas to pick up an "oatmeal" suede riding patch... Here's where I'm at now: - added Velcro to close the tunic and neck - got "guilted into" redoing my thigh pockets (now that I'm home and have a sewing machine) - added a neckline flap: - 99% finished product:
chilledmilk
on my pants im thinking of adding velcro to the inside of shin armor and on pants so you cant see the gap from where leg and leg armor meet.
Death Recon
I will be doing that for most of the armour. Especially the knee and elbo areas
Heatshock
BDU look sgood mate - even the pockets! I do the velcro thing with my shin armour too

Death Recon
Look what I just got in the mail I asked Heavy from BSN here if her father could make me one, first time he made the DC-15S, looks good... I just need to touch it up with some paint for detail. Now I'm just waiting on Mr.WC to finish my DC-15A I know we don't require a weapon but I don't see the point of walking around unprotected (Hopefully I will have my armour finished by aug so I can wear it to Fan-Expo 2013 in Toronto, I'm going to be up there on curse at that time)

You're just going to have to send it to me. I'll take care of it for you. You're getting a DC rifle from 'ol W. Chuck? Excellent detail. You won't regret that. And when did our cat take a trip up north?? (Here kitty-kitty-kitty...)
