Cummerbunds - piccies for new troopers

Recommended Posts

I have just learnt that LSFU no longer makes the KST bunds

thought I'd get this started - if we post up pics of our cummerbunds for the new troopers who are gonna have to make their own

mine is a LSFU version which is near perfect IMHO

take into account that mine is already weathered. base is darked grey with the light grey vertical stripes added on. On top of that is the horizontal 'cloth belt' which matches the darker grey of the base

close up pic of the vertical black detail strips on the front. the white thread is actually seen on the high res pics

any other guys who have made their own - pls post up to aid new troopers! Thanks.

Hey heatshock you are doing a world of good for those needing this info like I do because I have to make my own. No sewing experence at all... They way you are showing the measurements make a lot..A LOT of sense to me ...Thanks very much..when I do my bunn I will do a build and post it maybe a video....

Soooo after the 3 1-2" what's the spacing? Back to 2 1-4" or 1 1/4"??

I'm at that point with my cummerbund right now and I think I'm gonna continue with 1 1/4" but for future referance and other people can you post the rest of the dementions?

Belt is 2" thick, so are the two black strips also 2" thick (1 1/4" wide)?

No, they are only attacked at a couple points: Top/Bottom and 2 or so in the middle.

I suggest before sewing them on completely that you sew the top on then let it hang on your buddy then mark where to sew the strap onto the cummerbund in the middle and the bottom.

I didn't do this the first time and since your body is not completely flat when i put my cummebund on the strap poofed out becasue they were beign bunched,

Don't know if you understood that but hope it helps

Here's what I have saved. The old and the new and screenies.

Personally, as someone that wears camouflage for a job, I completely disagree with the grey cummerbund. It makes no sense with cam armour and I think the older, low-res screenies looked grey due to CGI lighting, but I wasn't around when the CRL was written. To me it's khaki.

Does anyone make cummerbund and pouches and sell still. Look very complex for me to make.

I´m sorry to take so long in replying but I did have to check with Chris if he is still making(he is, fortunatelly) cummerbunds and pouches.

Please contact Mr. Chris Hale on facebook: I´ll PM you the link.
