  1. Trimmed out a bit more, do I need any more off the sides?
  2. Okay, got around to carving out the first big piece, and threw the grey sticker in there cause I could, it's not perfect and I might sand down the edges a bit to make it smooth, but overall I don't think its too bad for my first time dealing with plastic, feels like I'm in grade school art class all over again
  3. Replaced the KS bars with Walts since they were all but destroyed since I apparently have very strong fingernails, but the whole helmet still almost looks like, wonky, and I'm really not sure at this point what's wrong with it
  4. Yeah don't have much in the way of hobby stores in Peterborough, but I should have both a straight and curved pair from Amazon coming today
  5. On that topic, any recommendations for how to get a square hole in a round bit of plastic without having to use all of my knife?
  6. I haven't even trimmed a single piece of armor yet, gotta find some lexan scissors first and that might be a tommorow problem
  7. Kinda reverse order to start in lol, but got my soft goods from KeepTrooping (aka ImperialBoots) and they're exactly what I needed, just gotta figure out how to get all the white together
  8. Okay, finally got around to spray painting the interior so it's black, have a set of bars from Walt that are substantially bigger than the KS ones, would they still be acceptable?
  9. Oh I actually bought those from imperial surplus, gotta find them again, but I have literally no clue how they go together
  10. M'um m'aloo!!! Taa baa eyeta Got some options now anyways to fix it, ive got a fair bit of spare ABS lying around here somewhere, just lost in all the dooka, I'll do some googling and see how difficult it is to make a paste as well, either way have some work ahead of me
  11. It's where I punched out to attach the visor to the top and back section of the helmet, so it will be under those cover button things
  12. I'll probably have to make that a next week thing since this week for me is just slammed with work, but I'll give it a shot and keep it updated
  13. Okay, another weird out there question, any fixes for when I accidentally make a hole too big, when I was drilling out the rivets to start the placement over I ended up making a hole the size of the rivet head
  14. Yeah I'll just plug away at it slowly, ive got that video saved somewhere I know so I'll just have to dig for it whenever I'm in the mood to do some plastic cutting
  15. Alrighty, still plugging at the helmet I have, but may slowly pick away at the armor as well
  16. You are amazing, been trying to get it lined up and struggling even after watching the video, thank you so much
  17. I'll play some more and see what I can line up, but is there a possibility of being able to add some ABS to that side to make it fit?
  18. So basically where they green is just needs to be covered by the visor shroud? If im understanding that right
  19. Yeah I've still gotta attach the velcro, that will probably be the lash thing I do, not sure how I can get much more out of the eye hole without removing the lens
  20. Yeah that's what I've been trying to play with, but it seems like the bottom part of the bucket where the ears are is uneven, that side seems to be deformed quite a bit
  21. I'm debating on buying a dremel and using that to smooth everything out, can't quite burn my hands on sand paper for the whole process lol
  22. Alright, back to where I was before, holding as much as I can together with painters tape, I think it already looks better than it did before, but that will more or less be final positions for everything once I put everything together, is there anything else I need to change?
  23. Alright, got rivets out, poked new holes and new rivets in, ive adjusted the decals slightly, hoping this will work
  24. I see where I messed up on the top part, it's not perfectly even, but again rivets are being stubborn
  25. Broke it back down to face plate and visor separate from each other, what sort of return edge am I looking at on the visor, im literally 100% a noob at this so not sure what I'm looking for, the rivets that I used to initially attach the visor to helmet are being stubborn with the drill, but im worried about melting the plastic if it gets too hot, also trimmed the bottom edge of the face plate, just need to nip some rough edges and maybe sand it smooth?
