  1. I got my Spike helmet in today, and it fits GREAT. I love it! Just need to get my headband/liner sorted. I can slid it off and on with almost no issues, but the balaclava should help. I can wear it with my glasses on no problem.
  2. Sure am! Im.from the California desert but thats been years since I workedthere. Ive worked in the South for the last 16. The humidity and heat just sap you. Opposite there, you dont realize how much your sweating. Got my hydration setup yesterday. We will be working 60 hour weeks minumum. IM hopinh this outfit HAS water. Last place I worked at in Ca had a 100 foot black rubber hose. If you wanted a drink, bring your own or drink out of that!
  3. Big delay in my job, but Ill be starting in a week. At least Ill have an income for a while. I just put an order in for one of Lou's blasters. I may be back in time for that to get here.
  4. I spoke with Spike and he assures me my 23 inch head will fit in his helmet.
  5. Making myself a place holder. I dont have anything yet, but Im reading and sorting things out. Ive already contacted Spike for a helmet. I will be heading to the Arizona desert in the next week or so to put airliners into long term storage. Ill probably be out there several months, but Im told it miles of walking between the stored planes, so I know my body shape will change. Im hoping that will help with armor and bund fitting.
  6. i have looked and not seen a pattern, other than the photos posted at the front of this topic. Is there a pattern? I havent seen much that says how wide the thigh patches have to be I know they stop above the knee armor, but is there a general rule?
  7. Ok. I dont have armor, so Ill need to get armor before I can do this, but Ill make a practice set out of all the natural heavy cotton cavnas I have laying around here.
  8. Do the 8-9" or so measurements for the bund work for troopers with a gut? Im not skinny, so when I tried to make a bund before, mine came up in my chest and back, trying to keep it from popping out especially in back when I bend over.
  9. Thanks for posting that. My sewing is terrible, but I don't have anyone around me to do it, so I have to do it myself. Ive actually been very reluctatnt to stat this because I didn't know how. Are the edges turned under , or is the stitch just put to the edge of the suede?
