Hey fellow scouts! Im already a basic scout. I’m starting my Lancer build thread work in progress now. I’m starting with the boots. I have the marine Vinyl and boots. Just started the lines on the boots. Looking for any feedback so far. On my king show boots, the sole changes in width. I’m inquiring if I should follow the width of the sole to stay consistent. Any feedback is welcome.

I can assume the black versions of this boot would be a good choice for the shadow scout as well?

Those are looking pretty good. The right side is slightly broader than the left but they look clean to me.

Myself and another Garrison member have the sc armor and Altman setup. There isn’t enough color variation to stand out and keep you from getting approved. The Scout link Below is a link to a few pics of me and another scout in my Garrison. We both have the Altmann and SC kit.,

My Altman is all blackedout out on the inside. Many of the TKs in my Garrison love using the plasti dip on the inside of their buckets. My TK has it also. I like the blacked out helmets because there is less chance of light reflecting on the inside with the white.

Looking good! When I got to this point I used micro files and fine sandpaper to smooth it out. Just take your time.

Looking very sharp! Congratulations on losing weight. Keeping up with exercise is a huge commitment and with a the holidays approaching, I know I’m gonna be struggling. 😂

I have a smaller size head but my Altman bucket fits me just fine. I dont swim in it or anything like that. If you have a medium sized noggin and body frame, the Altman is Probably gonna be fine. There are other options however, such as the RS and MonCAL and evening the studio creations. With head size set aside, your body frame, height and shoulder size plays a part in how your bucket looks on you as well. I have broader shoulders so my Altman bucket looks fine for my frame (IMO) If you have a small sizeD frame and are very thin, then the Altman may look a little big on you.

It’s funny how miscommunication or lack of communication in setting up a display could then be turned around as the go to model for concept art. Then in which could possibly in turn/become screen accurate. 🤦‍♂️. Hopefully this won’t be the case. I know some of us would be okay for a scout variation in the new film but this isn’t a good start. Crossing my fingers this isn’t the final product.

It’s actually a quite simple method of using black eyeliner with a make up brush. After you are happy with the details, you spray it with treseme brand hairspray to make it set. You will want to wipe all the armor down first however with a microfiber cloth to get rid of any fingerprints. Only thing is it will come of with water. So it’s not recommended in a rainy climate. We are in Vegas where it only rains a few times a year so it’s great for us

Yeah I noticed there’s no mention in the Crl. Thanks for the feedback. I will go with straight in the box cuts since it may affect Lancer status later down the road. Much appreciated!

Hey everyone, Quick question on the drop box cut for the strap. I noticed if the cut is made on a diagonal it fits better on the body. See pic below. Is this allowed or do I need to cut straight in the pre made indention? Thanks!

Hi there. Just curious if anyone here has tried or seen anybody ever try to cut out the boot sole pattern from imperial boots to make it screen accurate? The soles seem to be a little too thin to pull this off. Thoughts from those who have IB?

I’ve attached mine with both said methods above. (under the armor with Velcro and sewn/velcrowed directly to the bund). I like the sewn method much better. I had another scout help align them up before sewing them on.
