  1. Do we have the professional fotos from this day yet? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. What about Shore Troopers? Or is this strictly Biker Scouts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks Rogue! Yes, I jumped ahead a bunch to have the suit ready for a Con last weekend. I do plan to revisit and update the ab details and a more permanent install of the lens. (Right now it’s just stuck in with 4 layers of 2-sided mounting tape.) I will definitely look into your other suggestions and update my WIP as well. However, my Garrison leadership and GML were present and wanted me to take the approval pics right then and there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. So, I’ve skipped ahead and am almost completely done. I need to install a lens and glue in the foam on the chest and back. Here are some pictures. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Boxes and uh, boxes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Sorry for not posting for a bit. We’re down to the wire on this build. I have just 3 more days off in which to finish before Eucon. Today I assembled belt boxes, sewed the fabric belt and made hip armor. No pics though because I’m feeling the crunch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Getting there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Ordered Toyota red from local O’Riley’s. They got it overnight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Almost. Arms and legs are painted and weathered. Waiting on some 3D printed pieces to complete the body. Aiming to be finished for Eucon next month. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. What to do while I wait for the helmet to dry? Paint the arms and legs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. First coat. Loving the Montana Gold! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Helmet is a cast of a Sean Fields (mark 1, I’m told) Snout rebuilt for accuracy using Dustin Madden’s technique over on 850 tips and tricks. Big thank you to Dustin! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. Decided to dive in on my bucket while I wait for my brother to 3D print me some details. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. After looking at reference pics I noticed that I hadn’t left much negative space around this part, so I modded my mod. And added more thickness to the walls. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Sides and buckles today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Some accuracy upgrades on the back today. I used a slice of pipe and a circle cut from ABS sheet to make the indented circle. I couldn’t find any info on dimensions so I centered it a 4 cm from the sides. I cut out the stepped rectangle and replaced it with a scratch built one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I built and installed the second forearm ladder today. Just need to putty/bondo up the cracks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Dakota19250, you may not have to do these upgrades. The current versions of the 850 armor should be more accurate than my V2. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Installed. Will need bondo and sanding. On to the next one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Hours of hard work later and I have one ready for bondo filler. This was made from 2 mm abs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Started rebuilding the forearm ladders today. CRL states a hard edge here and I didn’t want to risk not passing approval. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I’ll look into it. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. With the legs done I moved on to the abdomen. I mentioned before I bought my kit second hand, well the previous owner got a little carried away and trimmed off the mounting area for the belt. To replace it I added a 2 inch strip of spare ABS, gave it a hot water bath and glued it in place. Some bondo to hide the seam will make it invisible after painting. Side plates trimmed and glued in place. Lastly I installed some shins that give me lots of extra material to ensure a custom fit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
