Well I just ordered a set of RS armor so hopefully I don't have any issues!

The RS is not all that much larger than the SC, is it? I was under the impression it would be quite a bit bigger.

I was able to buy them unpainted at Home Depot, I believe they were sold under the Dewalt brand.

Either maker should fit a 5’7” person fine though? Thanks for all the responses so far.

Is the intention going to be to make basic approval lax enough we could reuse ROTJ TB’s, and then for L2 separate bund/cod/etc?

Yes I plan on sourcing soft goods elsewhere. Will ask if they will sent it unassembled, thanks. Is it worthwhile to wait until RS offers helmet kits again or do they do a decent enough job? I recall them using non-accurate bolts and hardhat liners when they first came out.

Narrowed down to these two makers, not making this a ‘which is more accurate’ as obviously RS wins in that regard, but more about who has more durable plastic, better customer service/replacement parts, etc. Additionally since RS doesn’t offer kits has anyone had issues with their trimming/strapping? Going for Lancer.

Is anyone making accurate flak vests that go all the way to the cod if you wanted to strap them as they do in the films? All of the ones I see for sale are like half length or less.

There are optional things beyond L2 requirements if you read through the approval threads (suggested/optional), but IMO if you’re building with Lancer as the goal go all the way.

Someone has the armor bug.

More accuracy is great, screen lineage is better. Was going to get a Strider kit but may want to wait now, if this is even better.

What is the consensus on the new CF/Strider kits vs. original Strider kits... same/better/etc? Anyone have one in hand to compare yet?
