  1. Hey Retro and Aradun, I have completed my repairs and returned the holster to the boot. Check these out: https://imgur.com/6lz2oZT Thanks, again for all of your assistance. I really appreciate it all. Patrick
  2. Hey Retro and Aradun, thank you for the tips and guidance. I will work on it this week. Will post photos once completed. Thanks, again, Patrick
  3. Found some on Amazon, of course. What thickness would you recommend, .5 mm, 1.0 mm, etc.?
  4. Thanks for the advice and guidance Chopper. I appreciate it as always. Do you know where I can pick up a sheet of styrene inexpensively?
  5. Hey Chopper, Pics as requested at the link below. Just a note, I identified the crack when removing the rivets to add a boot blouser to the inside of the boot like your notes in one of the forums. The cracks were there before I removed the rivet. I added a rivet washer to the inside of the holster, between the holster and the boot, plus what you see inside the boot as well. https://imgur.com/a/onuUr9k Your thoughts?
  6. Hey Chopper, good evening. I noted your concerns about the high stresses on the plastic of the holster around the rivets. Do you have any repair suggestions if cracks have developed? Seems they occurred around the upper rivet where it attaches near the velcro closure. Thanks, Patrick
  7. Thank you also Dennis. Too excited and typing too fast.
  8. Thank you, Matt. I really appreciate the welcome.
  9. Thank you for all of your assistance. I really appreciate it. My dream is now a reality thanks to dedicated folks such as yourself.
  10. Good afternoon. I am very pleased to announce I have been accepted as a member of the 501st Legion. TB-94003 Reporting for Duty. Thank you all for your guidance and assistance through this process, you made it a really enjoyable experience. I look forward to trooping with those in the Florida Garrison and hopefully our paths may cross in other areas. Chopper, Retro, Jake I can't thank you enough for your construction tips. They were gold. Talk to you folks soon when I eventually go for Lancer. Patrick.
  11. Hey Chopper, Thank you for clarifying the stripes and the overall progress on the build. At this point, my goal is Level 1, but will definitely keep the tip in mind when (if) I attempt Level 2. I will work on the velcro for the belt. I will put it all on and take my pics for submission. Keeping my fingers crossed. I really thank you all for the assistance and guidance. Hope to see you on the other side as an "official" brother. Patrick
  12. Good Evening. It's been awhile since my last update and I have been hard at work on the Pouches, Belt, Detonator, and stiffening the cod. I think I am closing in on being ready (these parts at least). I humbly ask for your opinions on the current results: https://imgur.com/a/bY2sOIo As always, your guidance and critiques are appreciated.
  13. Thank you Woobie and Chopper. I appreciate the pics and measurements. Based on the description, it seems as if the TD is really used to cover/hide the majority of the soft strap on the belt. I’ll use that as a guide.
  14. I have received all parts for the thermal detonator, but I am thinking the hose is too short, compared to pics of approved items. How long should the tubes extend out the side for the housing. The one I have is just about 2”. The pics look to be about 4” on each side. Can any provide guidance?
  15. Hey Chopper, thank you for the feedback. Another step closer.
  16. I've worked on the Pouches. What are your thoughts? https://imgur.com/a/9hzCHEw
  17. Thanks, Chopper. On to the next task.
  18. The holster's up: https://imgur.com/a/Xkilk6g
  19. Thank you, Chopper. Will post pics once installed.
  20. Thank you,Chopper. Will now add the holster. Any guidance on how far from the top it should be? I was thinking a 1/2”.
  21. Good Afternoon, Thank you all for the good tips and guidance as I assemble my kit. Based on the prior feedback, I have been working on updating the Tubes. These are higher and come much closer to the Knee Armor. I am about to add the Holster to the Right one and will update the pics at that time. Take a look and let me know what you think so far? https://imgur.com/a/Xkilk6g All comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Patrick
  22. Hey Jake, sorry about the delayed response to this, it slipped by me. Thank you for the compliment, I appreciate it. Looking forward to making the refinements suggested by Chopper and Retro and the FL501st GML. Will then be able to join the ranks.
  23. Chopper, I reached out to the FL501st GML to get his feedback on the boot length. He agreed they appeared to short. He commented that the tubes should come up to just about the bottom of the knee armor. Good call on that one. I have added it to my list of refinements. Thanks again for all of your assistance.
  24. Hey Jake, thanks for the welcome. Glad to be here.
  25. Hey Chopper, good evening and thank you for the informative feedback. 1. I am still working on the Thermal Detonator, as well as the pouches. I apologize for not mentioning the TD earlier. 2. I have begun my adjustments to raise the drop boxes and will send follow up pics once they are complete. 3. Thanks for the tips on both the low-slung belt and the bridge flaps. I will make the appropriate adjustments. 4. I will reach out to the Everglades GML to get their take on the height of the boots. I too had concerns after looking in the Wiki about the length. That's why I haven't attached the holster yet. With my updated Marching Orders, I can begin my refinements. Thanks to you and Retro for the guidance. Will check in soon.
