  1. lynx - I share your interest in this kind of thing. The Biker Scout is such a compelling design I'm fascinated with the many possible variations. While I am waiting for my two sets of armor to be finished (one for 'pristine/parade' use and one to weather) I've also begun a build of the member of Saw Gerrera's Partisans from Rogue One that wore the scavenged Scout helmet. I've got a build WIP thread going on that over at The RPF: https://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=278922 Dan
  2. Excellent - thanks much for the extra detail! Beautiful work... Dan
  3. These are indeed really nice gloves, I'm very happy with them. Here are mine: As for them running small, I have to say that my experience is that they run pretty much right where I'd expect them based on my usual fit for most clothing items and, actually, maybe even just a tad large based on careful adherence to the description of the measuring process. When I measured and measured twice I fell squarely into the suggested large ("L") size, despite my expectation and feeling that I ought to be a medium ("M"). When my gloves arrived they felt a bit on the big size; an exchange back to medium size confirmed my initial intuition and I have a much better fit. Frankly, given my short fingers, I'd probably best fit with small fingers on a medium hand sized glove. So, I think the lesson is to measure carefully, but allow that we all have unique dimensions and adjust accordingly. I'll add that WW's customer service is outstanding - fast shipping, fast response to queries, and flexibility in making sure you get a product you're happy with. Az is good people - much recommended! 4. I think it looks really nice! I too am going to go for the weathered approach, but I'm going to go with two separate sets of armor - one weathered and one pristine. I'm thinking that I will do some 'real world' weathering for some portion of that weathering effect, but I really like the look you've achieved with your method here, so I suspect that I'll incorporate a bit of this in there as I lightly layer it all up. 5. Ah, okay - just good 'ole extension cord. Thanks - I'll go take a look at that and give it a whirl for practice while I wait for my actual hardware to arrive. Much appreciated! Dan
  6. Shaun, Sorry for being dense, but I joined the thread late and many of your original images seem to have been deleted. I'm still not 100% clear on the exact source of the wire you're using there. Your result looks so much like the screen prop that I really want to reproduce this as closely as I can... Thanks! Dan
  7. Looking really nice! Can I ask what clips you used and where you got them? They look really good... Dan
  8. Well, you have to start somewhere. While I'm waiting on my suit hardware I've been collecting other bits of ensemble like the pistol and the undersuit. My pistol arrived with a broken barrel but that was a trivially easy fix with a bit of dowel and some epoxy. This is a 'hero' version with drilled barrel and scope so it's not Lancer spec, but I like it. Dan
  9. Beautiful DLT-19 - very nice job! I'd love to see a bit of the 'making of'... Dan
  10. Thanks for posting about this - based on your review and other comments here I ended up ordering one just now. I'm just starting on my build and don't even have my armor yet, but you have to start somewhere! Dan
