  1. Here is mine after I used the t-shirt one as a template. You can see I kept the sleeves from my t-shirt one. The photo is before I fixed the Velcro on the front lol Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. So I did the t-shirt method and once I had it in the right size I pulled it apart and used it as a template to make one out of thicker material. I’m pretty rough on my stuff when I get dressed and it is holding strong!
  3. Such sad news Rest easy Jason. Wish I got the chance to meet him in person.
  4. I made a patch and sewed over them on my flight suit. You can even see them on mine with everything on.
  5. I did try it with out the balaclava on luckily I have short hair haha. Completely agree about seeming the inside of the helmets I love seeing how everyone does the inside! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  7. I recently ordered a fan kit and received them in a vert short time. I recently installed them and I have to say they are quite nice. I took the fans and blacked them on the front of my sc bucket right about where my forehead is. Surprising there is no issue of them catching anything and pulling it into the fans. The increased air flow is wonderful and has eliminated any fog on my visor. I went to biglots and picked up a 2200amh battery pack for 10 bucks and I left the fans running on the battery and got just over 2 hours running 2 fans. I ran the wires up along the top of my sc bucket under my helmet pads and I attached heavy duty Velcro to the battery and mounted it along the back of the bucket, along with the button to turn the fans on and off.
  8. Thanks I’ll definitely be following your topic!
  9. Just wanted to ask around has anyone I stalled fans in their scout buckets. I’ve noticed on the past few troops that I’ve been getting real hot. I was thinking of getting a fan set and curious if anyone has used them and and if so how they mounted them in their bucket?
  10. I’m not a veteran scout in fact I’m still waiting on my approval from my GML, but I’m 5’8” and I made mine bund like 8 inches tall and it sits like a quarter of an in under my belt and goes to about half way up the height of my side strap you kinda see this in the side shot I sent to my GML if this doesn’t help I can post a better pic when I get back from my vacation. But hopefully this helps abit Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I did the Velcro tabs on mine and they look like this with out the armor on Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. It’s hard to see cause the Camouflage haha but this was the best I can do for now. Does anyone think this would make a good template? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. One thing I have noticed is what might help for a pattern for the leather/suede riding patches, is if you have an old pair of ACU pants or pick one up from a surplus store. I was looking at a pair of mine the other day and they have extra fabric at the exact same spot as the under suit. I’m planning on using that as a template when I try to make a lancer level armor. I will try and attach a picture.
  14. Here’s some more photos my bicep piece fell off the Velcro in the one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks for the input!!! I’ll move those up and I’ll add back ones my camera died when I was taking them haha.

  18. I followed the template at the top of the topic doing what he said measuring carefully and it was fairly easy and they turned out pretty well.
  19. I do have to work a little on the chest Armor to add the straps along the sides and spot where the front and back armor meet.
  20. So I have been working on my biker scout for some time. I still need to finish my pouches add the riding patch on my under suit. I’m waiting for my helmet kit to arrive in the mail. My current goal is currently on just getting approval for the 501st. And thenwork on it it and go for lancer. Any input would be greatly appreciated! -Thanks
  21. That’s the suit I used on mine I’m working on it was a lot of work to remove the zippers. But once they are off it looks good.
  22. Here are some photos of my second attempt on the boots. I was able to salvage the boots from the first attempt. I’m going to take my time and make sure I don’t make the same mistakes twice.
