Have you tried the Orca Bay boots in size 47? I usually wear a 10 or 10.5 in US and the size 43's fit me well. -
Thanks! Nothing wrong at all with critique....that's what I need to hear! It's done me good seeing the pics myself. It's one thing to look in the mirror, but to really take in what needs correcting by going over the pictures is the way to go. Plan on getting the FS to the seamstress tomorrow to tighten the legs and sleeves. Will also have her tighten the flares on the shoulders. My daughter fixed the velcro on the vest and bund so I'm sure there was a bit of "Really Dad" mixed in there... In talks now to get another bund/cod/pouches/vest. Not totally crazy with these but they'll do until I get another set. Vest seam is way off center. Doesn't matter too much as this one is gone ASAP. About an inch too small for me.

Looks like the flak vest needs the poof in the shoulders removed, maybe tighten the legs and arms a tad? Butt flap is very hard to see as both blacks blend pretty well currently. Any feedback is welcome guys, thank you!

I have the SC armor kit, and was seeking recommendations for a one piece belt.

Surprised WW hasn't gotten one closer to the biker needs. I had a WW suit for a Tie pilot project I abandoned and I hated to let it go to waste as it fit me well. Cost me $80 to get the flaps sewn on, correct the collar, add the elastic straps on thighs, and have all of the pockets removed...definitely not the cheapest route but I'm happy with mine now

Chris909X for boots? All the way! Don't know if he makes other biker scout goods... -
Slow go here, but soft parts have shipped from Maxs Sci-Fi Creations and helmet is out to Artisan FX for assembly and paint. Should get some pics up once I can have more on than just my boots...would not make for a very appealing photo.

Jim Tripon makes one in black for the tank trooper.

That looks fantastic! Weathering looks great too, nothing worse than a clean SW outfit...

I have a opportunity to buy a LW or stay with my Altmanns

The LW is an exquisite piece... -
It must never end...Boba is gone but not forgotten, but the scout will proceed. Gotta get the scout lid built over the Christmas break...BTW, im only a holster and blaster away from Krennic...
-
Got my helmet kit in, now just gotta find the time to finish them. Anticipate the soft armor being in in about a month or so. Only items left to purchase is the blaster and decal kit...

A CUCBlack helmet by another name.
syllander replied to tk1234's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I purchased one from him on Etsy. Paid Aug 7 so I waited a few weeks to file a claim with PP. Figured it was time to start that ball rolling. -
Dallas Georgia guy looking to be a biker scout

Check Max's scifi creations on FB if you are going to buy vs. make the soft parts. Chris909x for boots. -
All too easy...

No pics just yet, but I've got my flight suit modded, butt flap and thigh patches complete. I've done a quick search, but as I didn't really find what I was looking for, what is the best method of attaching the elastic to the armor? Was thinking glued snaps on the inside of the bicep/knee/forearm, than a snap attached to the elastic? Thoughts?
-
Depends what you are gluing together. If you're working with ABS I'd go with E6000. If you're working with FG armor, I'd find an epoxy like JB Weld. Also with JB Weld you can use it to fill seams if you pull the area with your finger and a little solvent. I'd recommend wearing latex or nitrile gloves though.

I'm in Georgia myself- the SC armor will get to you pretty quick. I talked to Jeff on a Sat morning, paid at lunch, and it was at my door Monday after lunch.

Welcome to BSN Zach- lots of helpful people here so its easy to get the info needed to put together a great costume...

Couldn't add more than the couple of guys above me have said. But I can say they are absolutely correct. The EFX will probably have a few available by retailers ONCE they get them. BUT the price will jump a couple hundred off the get go. Would still be a great collectible. The RS seems to be the way to go, but after the pounding the RS guys have had they may not do another run. At least not anytime soon. MAYBE they'd be open to unbuilt kits once they have shipped all waiting scout helmets...that's my hope.
