Cheesewhoopy's Biker Scout Build
cheesewhoopy replied to cheesewhoopy's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
For the thermal detonator clips I purchased a pair of wallet clips from amazon and then I used my Dremel with cutting wheel to make them have more depth. Its subtle but looks much nicer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Cheesewhoopy's Biker Scout Build

And I also did the wire wrapped thermal detonator tube and here are some shots of the flak vest. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I figured I'd start posting what I've done so far to get some feedback. My goal is lancer. I've already re done the cummerbund twice and the cod piece three times lol didn't realize how OCD this build would make me. I was fortunate enough to pick up a one piece belt and Chest plate from WTF. The chest plate fits my dimension much better than the SC which was just a bit too flat for me. Here's what I've got so far. I'm going to make the cod piece strap longer so it connects to my flak vest and not the cummerbund. Right now you can see the Velcro poking out and it's ugly. Any feedback is much appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

White vs Off white pouches and straps

Haha exactly agreed. I think I'm gonna go with the off white Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
White vs Off white pouches and straps

This is what I was thinking too, it would be a good contrast Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I know both are acceptable, but I was just curious what people like better. White or off white? I did white pouches, but I'm almost considering switching over to off white. Just wanted to hear people's thoughts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I used a pvc pipe and heated it to give it a slight curve, I didn't wanna over do it so I just put s slight curve in it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Wire wrapped thermal detonator
cheesewhoopy replied to cheesewhoopy's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I couldn't tell if it was round or not, but I think your right it does look more flat. I just finished it up and looks alright, I think I'll leave it for now since I just killed my grip strength trying to put it on lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

What are using for the tube and what kind of wire did you use? I was thinking of using an old Ethernet cable lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
To be honest with you, I don't think there are any changes you could make to that helmet to get it approved. I've seen those on eBay and they're really inaccurate Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cod piece attached to flak vest?
cheesewhoopy replied to cheesewhoopy's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout HQ
I used this picture as reference and I could be wrong but it looks to me like you can see the elastic on the outside bottom of the cod piece because it squares off a little Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Cod piece attached to flak vest?
cheesewhoopy replied to cheesewhoopy's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout HQ
Awesome thanks. Here's what I came up with. ( I have to add the arc stitch to the cod still) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Question. Is the general consensus that the cod piece was attached to the flak vest? I'm finishing up all my soft parts and I was planning on going that route, but wanna make sure that's what others were doing first. I think I saw a few photos of others doing that, but haven't found a lot of information, thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Before I sew up the right side, was just wonder what you guys thought of the overall look of the riding patch. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cutting soles of boots questions
cheesewhoopy replied to cheesewhoopy's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
Haha yeah I'd like to avoid any ER visits. My cuts are a tad bit too deep on a few of them, I tried to go a little bit more shallow as I got a hang of it. I've never cut chunks of boot sole out before lol so it's been a unique experience Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
