http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TB_Scout_trooper On the site that gives the 501st specifications I do not see anywhere that specifies the exact sizes for the pockets for the cumberbuns. Are there specific specifications that the sizes have to be? I had someone make mine and they are too big I need them smaller but she is saying if they are smaller they are not within specification can someone assist?

Who makes a good flight suit and vest?
BikerScoutDawn replied to tidalforce's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout HQ
Imo the lady suggested on sc website does sub par work . I paid 200 only to have to have someone else do corrections to it. Its better then I could have sewn but really expected it to be correct -
One of the final things I need is a voice changer, any suggestions on where to get one ?

Ask Jeff at SC the nin requirements for your chest. He had me stand against a wall and place two books at my rib cage. I also am short, but not skinny which was his fear

thank you everyone- I think I am just over thinking a lot of this. I want to get this done but with my aunt being placed on hospice and money getting tight all I hear in my head is "do it right so you don't mess up and have to buy new parts" so I then freeze and stop working which doesn't help either, I DO APPRECIATE every one of your replies- thank you !

Maybe I'm over thinking this but the belt has me stumped and it doesnt help that I keep seeing posts warning of keeping the side buckets short. Is there a good go to walk thru template of how to make the belt someone can direct me to ?

Who Is A Good Helmet Maker?

The best bucket I can suggest is Studio Creations -

I just wanted to give a big shout out to Chrisx909x for the help of my scout boots. I received them today and they are a good quality boot and well put together. His communication was wonderful and he even attached the gun holster to me after I sent it to him. So- if you find yourself needing boot work I suggest Chrisx909x

Almost done... Few minor details needed
BikerScoutDawn replied to matt8199's topic in Getting Started
My kit is from sc and they provided those pieces maybe they sell just those . Email Jeff at sc . I attached them, per their directions, with pvc cement glue -
I have a few questions 1. My sc kit came with 1.5 elastic and hook n velcro however I cant seem to make the holes large enough on the forearm, elbow and knee is it ok to use a smaller size or does it have to be 1.5 inch? 2. I have a flight suit and its not form fitting. Im going to have someone help me hem the legs for better length but if its baggy in legs and arm should that also get altered? Thanks in advance

Where do I find out what mods I need to do to the flight suit? I bought one and thought it was good and just needed to add the suede to the back and legs - didn't see any things to remove on the 501s page where it describes the flight suit so I am obviously missing something
-
I got my kit and work on it here and there I find it intimidating- mainly cause I want this so bad and I am scared to mess it up. I was starting it but then figured I should have my flight suit first so I don't cut things to the wrong size. I read these posts all the time looking for advise

I need to buy my undersuit cause I don't want to cut and size all the straps for my arms and legs before I have it on and I can fit it for best fit. I have looked but wanted to know if anyone can suggest the best place to get your coverall suit ? I know it will need to have adjustments but I don't want to buy a wrong one or one I have to make more adjustments needed cause I bought the wrong one- so any help is MOST appreciated! Thanks

The cumberbund is available from a person on SC website for $100 since I dont sew I will be getting it from her. I just got my kit and I feel overwhelmed but I am hoping I can figure this out. My undersuit is underarmor as I saw a lot of scouts wearing this when I was a NCS with the 501st for a event. I am going to make the boots from the tutorial on SC but does anyone who has bought a kit from SC have any suggestions on the bucket cause either it didnt come with instructions or I have misplaced them- if not I can email SC also but thought I would ask here in case anyone has any tips

I also am at a loss of where to start. I know what I want to do, be a Scout Trooper, I helped as a NCS for one event and as if I wasn't hooked already I became more hooked after helping. I bought a under armour compression top, leggings but past that I just don't get where one begins. Can you buy some things or is everything something you have to make? Cause if so I guess I might need to know if anyone does commissions or lessons cause I am scared I would buy some kit and just wreck it, waste the money and have to do it again or get discouraged and quit and I don't want to quit. I am just in awe with all the awesome costumes I just don't know where to begin.
