Folks, some more progess done the last couple of days. Already received some feedback form my budies I am very thankful for. Flak Vest V1 done. For the first time it is ok like it is. But I will make another one with some adjustments. Pouches done. But I will make another pair a bit smaller that they will fit better my proportions Another test fitting with the smaller cummerbund, pouches and the vest V1. Also (not visible here) I made a new Kummerbund which is 2 inch smaller than the one I wore on the other pictures of March 26th. Here and there I will add some more velcro to keep the cummerbund.. in place. Cheers Chris

What to do on a saturday evening? Made my flak vest. For the vest I used some black "heavy" cotton fabric . Preparing the sleeves first. After cutting all parts, I started to sew all parts together. And here it is, not perfect but for the first time I quite happy with it.

I will try it and add some velcro to the cummerbund and the flak vest when it´s done. Saw it, but I did not put the in the correct place, also the belt and the boxes not on their final position. Will do that with the next fitting when all missing parts are done.

Hey folks used the weekend to get some things done on my biker armor. I dyed the connection straps from chest to the back and the straps for the drop boxes. And assembled my belt And I had another test fit with the finished boots Yesterday the fabrics for the vest and the pouches arrive, I hope I will have some time next week to sew the vest and the pouches. I know it is not perfect, some more improvements can be done but I think it is not to bad. I have a question about the "cummerbund" the font is popping out unter the chest. How did you fix that? Cheers Chris

I guess you mean the cap?! Really nice one. I like the colour. But the gloves are ......where did you find them

Great build buddy. Approval should not be an issue. Can´t wait on our first troop.

I would say is has the same size than the velcro. When I compare it to the distance of both stitching lines of the velcro . I would say it is the same size. My opinion 1inch is the better size.

Got it, thx

I was not sure about the size. So I used 1inch strap. Hope that's ok. Gesendet von meinem SM-G935F mit Tapatalk

Hi fellow bikers, with the help of the tutorial here, I tried to make my own boots. I used white vinyl I got from my friends upholstery shop. Some cheap boots from *bay And than I follow the tutorial And here are my final boots V1: Cheers Chris

Hi folks, I add the metal lug on the strap to make it more stable. Finished my TD And did a short fitting.
-
Shoulders attached to the armor. I made some snap-plates and glued them onto the shoulder bridges of the back and the front armor. For the connection of both parts I used some white polypropylene webbing and added the female snaps on the webbing. In the middle between both snaps I made a hole to push the zip tie through. I will strengthen the hole with a metal lug, but still waiting on their arrival
-
You are right, I already changed it. thx

I have some more pictures I´d like to share with you folks. The TD is finished, only the zip tie is missing on that photo. Started with the belt first. Bevore I sewed on the velcro I put some male snaps on the back of the belt to attach the straps of the dropboxes there. Afterwards I sewed on the the velcro for the closure. To attach the belt to the ABS belt I drilled one hole on each and and made some ABS cover stripes to add between soft belt and rivet. You also can see two more male snaps on the ABS belt to attach the dropbox straps there. This is the 2nd time I did it that way, already used that method of attaching the softbelt and the dropbox streps to the belt on my wifes snowscout. Here is the final result For the side connection of the tank with the chest I sewed on some velcro to the cottonstraps: For the closure on the side hook and loops And loops on the back to attach the strap to the backplate. And this is the current status Working on the top connection between back, chest and the connection with the shoulder bells. The bells already ready for connection which will done with some zip ties (adjustable) Cheers Chris

Fellow scouts, I had a some time this week to go one with the build. All parts trimmed and sanded and ready to put together. I started with the the assembling of the tank. I did it as already known with some spare ABS and rivets. I personally don´t like the strapping method Strapping on the forearms and knees done:) For the assembling of the TD I used a pipe with 40mm diamater and some two sided tape to hold the wire on the pipe. It was much easier with the tape to wrap around the wire. Final assembling of the TD will be done today if I have some minutes Thx to Shaun and Strider for the discussions yesterday. I appreciate your help. Next step strapping of chest, back and shoulders.

Thx for the pictures. I don´t know what to think about that way of attaching the tank.

Does someone can show me the pictures how that strapping looks like I can´t find any. Very interested thx
