couldn't find a chisel blade in less than 100pcs pack around here...Do you guys actually find boots that have the proper sole color anywhere?

they are a soft sole so getting clean x-acto cuts is unlikely....

I'm on my way to finishing my lancer costume, I need help with the boots, what did you use to make the notches in the sole, what tools etc. I may need to buy new boots since I took a dremel to them and I think it's too much and will likely not pass.

I'm starting out, I'm aiming for lancer status, is there a guideline to the "cuts" that need to be done on the boots, what is expected? what is allowed and what won't be accepted? I may have to buy new boots but this is a taste of what I've done with a dremel, found the rubber too soft to use an x-acto blade on (too soft for a clear straight cut).

I am shooting for lancer status, in the crl it states "no visible external stitching". I've sewn two pieces of leather together and turned it inside out (suede side out) this way there is no visible stitching...did I miss the mark on this or could the crl be clearer? It's more or less a leather pouch sewn to the suit, is a single layer acceptable, did I overkill this?

looking forward to notching out the soles of the boots, anyone have pics of heel and toe notching, I have the pics from the movie but it only shows outer right.

do you run two strips of velcro in the back or do you run the top tab " Pouches have an attachment tab of at least 2 inches high to attach to the cummerbund". by itself without velcro at the base (I assume the pouches would flop around without any bottom velcro. Is the tab velcroed direct to the face of the cummerbund or around the top to the backside of the cummerbund?

do you happen to have a link for the zip tie bells?

Has anyone in the Lancer group stayed true to form, I looked up Lancers in Wookiepedia, they were armed with melee weapons; hence the name. Or is it just a title to differentiate troopers that go the extra mile for screen accuracy?

I'm thinking Lancer and level 2 are the same thing by the looks of things.

I'm shooting for level 2 biker scout. I've not seen shoulder bells attached with zip ties in the movies (I have a picture of the scout trooper after he hits Han in ROTJ and the top of the shoulder bells are clean, no zip ties. Where is the preferred way to attack the waist pouches that hang over the cummerbund, some velcro them to the inside of the chest armor, do others velcro them to the back of the cummerbund itself? No specific are given. the cod piece is not to be stitched to the cummerbund for level 2 approval, then should it be made longer so that it sits under the cummerbund and attached to the rear via webbing and velcro? I feel the crl could be more descriptive as it what is expected and perhaps how this could be achieved.
