I wondered about that, they're on a huge sale atm from fila, like 70% off.. Waiting to hear from my local approver.

Kingshow boots have been discontinued so what's left on amazon is it! Has anyone used timberlands for their scout boot build, the single color soled timbs seem to be a strong contender. Looking at used ones since toasting a 180 tacos pair of boots for a costume isn't in the budget and pre fab boots will run me 400 cdn.

Have scouts used timberland boots? I'm ll looking at used ones that could be a great fit.
-
Going from a 120 build to a 400 must purchase is a bit much lol
-
I can imagine having to paint them every other troop due to cracking! And on my front it's almost 400 cdn for those boots. 210 + 60 shipping (360 converted to cdn) and customs.....400 bucks. Brutal! I'll look high a low for proper boots.

Palladium pampa boots are a darke4 tan but the desert boots are lighter than the pampa boots..
-
Looking over the crl and it says tan for the soles, if they needed a specific color it should be posted as it's getting much harder to find a "wheat tan". I found palladium boots but may be too dark.

103 bucks for base boots and 60 for shipping...220 cdn on my end for base boots and that's hoping customs are having a good day and don't bend me over on charges...
-
Looked for base boots, nothing there. And I've looked everywhere for oatmeal soles, I even debated ripping off the vinyl on my current boots since the sole is barely worn but the 10.5 sizing doesn't give me a lot if room for an orthotic and hiking socks. And I'm not paint the soles...it's tedious enough cutting the notches in the soles. And near 300 tacos (after shipping and customs) for costume boots is not happening.

That sucks, the kingshow boots on amazon went from free shipping to 40 bucks to ship.
-
Has anyone used army desert boots, these can be had at a reasonable price used, tan sole, single color and having worn these for years playing airsoft I know they are easy to put on and take off because of the speedlacing and I'm sure the soles are more forgiving to cutting notches in them as it's denser than the kingshow boots.

Canuck scout here, made my 1st pair of boots with kingshow hiking boots as a base but now it's near time for a new pair but the shipping price for these has skyrocketted, almost same price as the boots themselves through amazon. I'm a lancer so oatmeal soles (single color) is important. What other boots have you used that don't requiring painting the edges of the soles?

https://www.facebook.com/share/v/jKwsftAHwgyVdpdM/?mibextid=oFDknk Revision rx insert and kydex to make a simple built-in custom j-hook. A little e6000, leave overnight with a small clamp.

I've addressed the slop in the boots, filled in the circle on the top of the tank and painted it, removed the lens from the pistol, added contoured stitching to the dog bones, added internal elastic to the right boots to minimize holster droop, swapped out the 5/32" rivets for 1/8" rivets on the holster, new bund, new cod. Ok, I also have a couple of other things I wanted to make clear as well. The circle on top of the tank (white one) is it ok to paint in the reassessed area or must I fill in the hole flush and paint a circle afterwards? thumbnail_Screenshot_20200710-150045_Gallery by Sebastien Cote, on Flickr Also the ears on the bucket, should I go bigger or leave them be? thumbnail_Screenshot_20200710-150111_Gallery by Sebastien Cote, on Flickr As far as the rivets go, I use the middle one, 5/32 in dia. You can see in the 1st picture the width of the holster vs my leg Right boot by Sebastien Cote, on Flickr the second picture shows the point that the upper of the boot take Right boot by Sebastien Cote, on Flickr the inner braces make it hard to fasten the velcro at the rear, maybe taking out the braces would solve my issues front and back?
