  6. spray is better, brush will leave "lines" as laquaer dries fast. if you have a spray gun set up, the mix of paint to thinner is 50/50. use about 40-50psi, spray about 12-18inchs from the surface and one coat at a time, wait till its dry, dont try to cover all at once ,3-5coats will be needed. same rule for a pressure pac can, maybe more caots as cans paints are thin in application try another surface before you paint your helmet, an old car part.door or something like that, practice first. good luck
  7. Hi, use an acrylic laquer, automotive grade, easy to use, easy to touch up, easy to fix. fast to dry. this wont mix with enamels. good luck

  18. might actually work better if the velcro is on the underside of the armour as Ammonites suggested, pouchs would always be in the right position then?, either way its good
  19. sow a 2inch strip at the top of the pouch, from one side to the other, this will sit up under the armour, it wont be seen there, sow 2 inch velcro, white, to this and the cumberbun, this will allow you to remove for washing
  20. Altmanns are a vac formed bucket, all plastic, visor is "heat formed" 3mm dark clear acrylic,
  21. Chef, try pumping some air pressure into your form, you will hear a slight "crack" sound, this is the plastic being lifted off the mold, this should help, cheers
  22. like Chef said, get the surface flat, try the heat thing first, that will flatten out the surface, has for me
  23. polyurethane is a 2part paint, paint and a hardener to chemically dry the paint making the paint very hard and brittle on a flexible surface.usually takes 3 days to completely harden you should be able to use an acrylic(plastic) laquer to paint over repairs, use an epoxy primer then the paint please read all instructions on the cans/tins
