Dan Trippler TK 10705 of the Wisconsin Garrison - Black Ice Squad here : So I'm currently waiting for my Kashyyyk to be approved an I have a WIP on my Garrison boards, but figured that only helps those in the WIG. So transferring that WIP here where hopefully I can help future Kashyyyks. Probably should have put the WIP here first to help my build and see if I did anything wrong. Oh well, I'm happy and currently don't see anything wrong with my build, but we'll see Got my BC armor back around January with plans of it being a winter project, one thing after another and suddenly it's April with zero progress. Big troop down in Joilet, IL for Midwest Garrison that I wanted to debut June 7th so figured time to get going; that gave me just under 2 months to build. So without further ado, here is my Kashyyyk build: Ahh, brand new out of the box: Resin helmet and greeblies, scrub all these down and let dry plenty of time before doing anything to them.: Marking all the armor for trimming down: Trim away! Sand edges and clean up making nice and smooth:

Yeah the other decals on the helmet are vinyl and had shine to them, there's just something about the painted look I prefer. I actually thought about removing the other decals and making templates for those to paint but already did a flat matte spray and the glare is gone, so it's fine.

I didn't want to freehand these so I made a template Sized and set up in Illustrator and cut on my vinyl plotter. Could of just used the vinyl but my black vinyl is glossy and I didn't like that look. I think they turned out good and am happy with it. PM me if anyone is interested is getting one of these templates. I don't have a cost set up for these yet but would be happy to trade for patches or coins

AHHH! So I can't find my lens and I'm at the stage where I'm ready to install it. Looked everywhere and no where to be found.

Looking for input on my camo so far. Obviously still needs to be weathered but wondering what you guys think of the camo paint. Compared to others I've seen I think I may have gone too much, but I like it. So let me know. Thanks!

Can someone take a close up shot of the under eye decals along with their measurements? I'm a graphic designer and work in a sign shop so I can use that image to make a vinyl template. If it works out I'd be happy to offer the decal template out to others that would be in need.

I think it truly goes without saying that we appreciate all you've done for this group, not just in the items you've made but the advise you've given in building. So for me, and others, I say thank you. And don't take too much of a break, we're a quickly growing group that needs your sewing skills. I look forward to finishing my Kashyyyk and trooping in it soon (I love my TK but am really looking forward to wearing this one) and know I wouldn't be were I was with it so far without your help.

See what happens when I don't pay attention to my own thread, I miss this and ordered a football lens. Oh well, it wasn't very much at all.

Sorry, should of clarified, it's for the Kashyyk trooper, not a Scout.

Anyone have any extra reflective green lens/tint? If no I'll go ahead and order the Nike Football lens insert, but with shipping it's close to $30. ugh Happy to pay you for it; otherwise I'm a graphic designer and work at a sign shop and we can do a trade for some custom decals.

Getting ready to start my Kashyyyk and looking into the boots. Couple people have pointed me to Crow62 but have seen/heard a lot of problems with him. Haven't seen any updates in this boot forum in awhile so wondering what people think the best option out there currently is.
