So an idea that just hit me that might help some non Lancers (and myself) reach Lancer status. While I was creating my TB, I finished my belt not within Lancer specs. As in I did the rivet method to connect the belt boxes. Now, if I were to make up some abs paste, or bondo, and cover the rivets, then sand smooth and repaint, would that possibly be able to be within Lancer specs? I might just be crazy, but let me know!

That's a crazy price considering what you pay other vendors for quality work

Ok cool. Thanks for the insight!

Ok, thanks. Would you say that the MLC has around the same circumference as the SC?
-
Should note, Im looking for a taller one. It's a chin issue I have with the SC

Has KS improved their pulls? I remember they used to be a bit shoddy

Hey guys, So I currently have a SC lid and it just barely accomodates my melon. It works, but barely. I have been thinking about grabbing a bit of a bigger one, or a fiberglass one. My question is, is a MLC any bigger? I've seen some posts saying that MLC is larger, and others saying they're tiny.. HALP!

Hey guys! Im back! After a number of months of inactivity, My trooper is almost ready for 501st submission, but I still need the Flak vest. I know CUCBlack makes some great ones, but i saw he has some outstanding orders, so i was wondering about other sources?

Looks pretty good! Gotta love marathon builds, haha. Great job!

Don't know if it's just the picture but it looks like the left side (looking from the front) lens edge is a bit more curved than the right. I found that this happened to mine when I was cutting out. I just went a tad further than the original "outline" to fix it.

If you can get a clear drying epoxy it will be even better. I got the one that dries opaque... It's more yellow and I had some excess squeeze out so in top of my visor it's not super pretty. It'll be alright for now seeing as you can only really see it if you're looking from the top

Also Hel0, I saw on the other post you were asking about glue. I used plastic epoxy. It's been holding strong for a while now and seems to work pretty well.

Well for the visor, I just kind of went for it. Used a cutting dremel bit and started cutting it out. Then a sanding dremel bit to smooth it out. Be wary of the dremel though, it can sometimes grab on something and pull your hand suddenly, sometimes making an unwanted mark. As for the ears, I haven't cut them out yet

That does help! Thanks for the info!

Looking good. I've been trying to find how to mount the faceplate with the dome. Did you use the bolts the SC lid came with? And if so, how did you get it to sit flush? I just don't know how to get around that damn square

I've heard the Velcro trick works well. Just glued the visor tonight. Looks pretty good right now. I think my visor is VERY subtly warped so sometimes it looks slightly off. I've got it pretty good right now.

I've since sanded the top more. Looks more even now. I think. I'll post a picture once I'm home.

I'm building my SC helmet kit right now too. May have to jump on in this with you guys, haha. Been going somewhat blindly. Trying to figure out how to attach the face plate with the rest of the helmet (dome)

Its an SC. I feel confident he will be able to closely replicate the color. If not it wont be the end of the world. I just might have a slightly shinier/brighter helmet.

I wish i had seen this earlier. Ordered a pair. While they aren't as bad as this, they could use some work. Took a very long time to ship (longer than advertised) amongst other things...... Lesson learned: Stay within Bikerscout.net Edit: if anyone would like further details or information feel free to PM me.

Good to know! Thanks! My local auto paint was able to give me a decent deal to paint the whole helmet plus the details, so it will be very glossy to say the least.

Well I was able to sand a bunch off. There are still some very light scratches so il pick up some super fine sandpaper to smooth them out. Next question is can I just polish to get the shine back?
