Does anyone know if they sold out on the 100 first scout buckets? And If they are continuing to offer finished helmets after that?
-
Just tighten the straps to fit your arms accordingly.

I use these boots because they are only 20$ at kmart, made 5 pairs with them.

E 6000 works perfect for me just clamp them together. -
Has anyone recieved their EFX bucket yet?
CRISTONAMO replied to Oberkisstillalive's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Now they will never be as accurate as the originals were. Not that they already are. I don't see how they can fix the problem without messing up the shape or something else about the helmet. -
Has the CB becomes hard to get? Why is that I haven't heard of it being hard, the people I helped get it have all received theres.

Yes, as long as its 1/2 "

Ultimate Helmet Comparison Thread!
CRISTONAMO replied to Chef's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
TO add to this thread here is a don post and CB next to eachother, and a don post and SC together. -
It is that messy, I've since touched it up but for my first time actually painting a scout helmet it's a complete fail, I posted a wip thread of this helmet in another topic. It's gonna be repaint end sooner or later maybe get someone else to do It I explain where I screwed up in the other thread the snout looks better than this but still messy.

This is a documentation of my don post helmet mod. I found this helmet on eBay spray-painted black with the metal wires already installed, for 85$ I thought it was a great price and a better sized helmet to me compared to my CB helmet. This Don Post lid also had 6 holes in it! 4 on the visor and 2 in the face-plate, which I had to fill and sand. Please note this is also my first time spray painting and I think I did a pretty bad job with it. Soon I am going to repaint it or get it painted for me. This helmet is still not complete and is a work in progress but its close, with many flaws. I had to replace the snout too, luckily it came with a accurate snout ready to install! It also came with accurate bolt not installed, they were such a pain to install I screwed up the paint next to the bolts. I had to get a trooperbay visor but it is too thick is there any thinner visors that are still dark? On to the snout, this was a tedious process, I liked the mod the previous owner made by using a real aerator on the helmet, So I left that, and cut the crappy model piece out and cut the new ones areator off and joined the two together. Cutting up the new accurate piece was a chore, I had to use a kitchen knife to saw at it till I removed the fake aerator. Ready to paint, Primer: Then glossy coat, I had numerous paint runs and paint chips already after painting I believe I handled it too much and did not let it dry, again I am going to repaint this or get it painted. This is how it looked a week ago, next to a SC helmet. Next to an MTK helmet: Next to a CB helmet, both I feel I have to repaint Updates will be posted when they happen!

Thanks! The knee rivets are already added in with the correct size elastic all my elastic is lancer spec. I now added a balaclava to cover my neck, I still will add a sewn strap later. I also revamped the look of my scout, scoring a Don Post Scout trooper helmet, modified it and use it in place of my large CB bucket, I think it looks great! I also got a MonCal Chest plate! So much more accurate then SC Chest piece. Here's a great comparison of my armor vs an original ROTJ armor. Hope you guys like it!

So, you got yours professionally painted at a body auto shop? What was the price for that if I may ask? I'm looking to do that with my two helmets, one has a horrid orange tint in it.

Here's a tip for hard armor.....
CRISTONAMO replied to uscstaylor's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I thought it always came in white black and clear? since 2012 i've been buying e6000 in white. -
Ah yes! I almost forgot I gotta sew on a flap and I'm also considering using my TK neckseal. The under suit has the 2" elastic and suede riding patch and butt flap sewed on already, so looks like that's the very last on the to do list!

Cummerbund finished, all except the pouches and flight suit remain...

I got ALOT done over the past week. The gloves came in and fit perfect, I made my boots myself and installed the holster ( I originally installed it upside down so had to fix that) And my mother who has the sewing skills is helping me with the cummerbund. Heres pics of everything! All I need is to finish the cummerbund and get a jump suit! The crotch is just a mock up for now, how does the shape look? The boots are not as hard as I thought, actually fun to make and they look great! Chest is done, just added straps to the shoulder bells after this pic Decals applied as carefully as possible. Cummerbund fit, I like it alot! Everything on the legs fit well, I also added the lancer knee strap too full test fit, ignore the makeshift animation studio Any suggestions again welcome!

Thanks again guys, I'll consider flipping the greeblie its just how it was on panda troopers build thread I was following. I oredered Wampawear gloves in size small, as my hand measures 7 3/4" Im pretty sure small gloves will fit fine because I have always used any glove in size small and they always fit. Do you guys think I got the right size? Also the biceps and forearms done.
-
Thanks again guys, I finished the belt and im very satisfied with the length of the boxes and fit, thermal detonator is lopsided but what do you guys think?

Thats what I was looking to do, looks like the best approach next to snaps, and I am!! Nice pointers there I wish i was as good at return edges as he is...

Hello everyone, I my name is Cristian aka TK 31501 of the dewback ridge garrison, and i'm ready to make my second armor! I got an SC armor kit for Christmas and i'll be using my CB helmet that I already own. No soft parts have been ordered, but I have cucblack in mind and need to contact him asap. lets hope I haven't made any mistakes yet... Is this glued in the right spot on the hump? Shoulder bells trimmed, all the parts are not sanded yet does anyone have a way to install these besides snaps? My snaps arent long enough to go through the fabric all the way More updates to come stay tuned!

Original Screen Used Helmet on eBay?
CRISTONAMO replied to cucblack's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
haha why did he have to wright "no sideshow" in the title? Sideshow does not even make life size helmets!
