I have a KS bucket, i got it pre-assembled as I didn't have the patience nor the faith in my ability to assemble it. Armor I went with SC and it came with all the things I would need to put it together, I like the look of SC armor over the KS, just personal preference. It did require some sanding and trimming but that was all I really did to it. In the end the choice is yours. Good luck!

I was wondering if you could give any insight into taking off the bolt covers, my next step is the bolt covers and I want to make sure I don't mess up the bucket taking off the old ones.

I agree with picking up a KS bucket. I looked at quite a few when I was getting my kit together, and the KS was awesome because of the larger size. I went for the pre-assembled one, it took a few weeks to get it but it was well worth the wait. I'm modding it for Lancer but the mods aren't that bad.
