  1. you can order a WampaWear.com black jumpsuit that has the collar already sewn for you. Seam ripping pockets is as easy as it gets. Youtube "seam ripping". That being said, you would save a TON of cash if you can learn to sew a few basic parts or make friends with someone who can. You can get away with not sewing your own stuff, but you pay for that level of ready. It's an option I hate to see people make if they don't have to. Good luck.
  2. Thanks for the assist Lou!
  3. Would this 1/2 inch elastic work for Lancer approval? http://www.amazon.com/Dritz-9332B-Braided-Elastic-2-Inch/dp/B004KYQ4AW
  4. beautiful
  5. Bro... nailed it.
  6. This is how the helmet sits without padding up top. Just cheeks and forehead to keep it in place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. LW helmets are like CB helmets in regards to acquiring them. They exist, but only a lucky few have them lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I don't have foam in the top of the KS helmet at all. I'll take a few pics tonight and see if I can give you an idea of what I'm seeing and see if it's an issue. Anyone have experience with the NI v2 helmets?
  9. Chef, I'm literally about to click checkout on the RS Props helmet. It looks like they have a final helmet floating around their office. If you can have a look and let us know if its bigger than a KS, that would be amazing.
  10. With the issues associated with the CB helmet, does anyone know of a supplier that makes a bigger helmet? I'm looking at the RS Props helmet, but without knowing how big the original helmets are, I don't want to spend 600-700 on a helmet that won't solve the problem of my chin popping out below the helmet when I talk. I have a KS now and my jaw does pop out below the helmet a tad if I move it (even without a helmet liner installed). Any thoughts?
  11. I dont think its a SF. This is what it looks like from the front:
  12. Clint, I'm wrapping up that busted up helmet now. I glassed and did the bondo on it yesterday. Just primer and more sanding at this point. It's a larger helmet but its a horrible soft pull recast of some random helmet.
  13. Jim - exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the tip!
  14. Based off this picture, it looks like they are pretty high and the boxes sit closer to the front than in the middle.
  15. Is there a rule of thumb for how high the thigh boxes should sit? I'm nervous about making that last cut and rivet.
  16. Marcel made my bund and pouches. Super easy process working with him Nicholas. Good luck.
  17. Updates with more trimming around the sides and top of the visor area.
  18. Thanks for the feedback fellas. I'll sand some more off tomorrow and post up new pictures. @Lou - ya man. I was a tattooer for 10 years. You quickly run out of space when you are in a shop 7 days a week.
  19. KS helmet is basically done.
  20. Looking at this image from the BSN gallery, it looks like the "thread through" side faces the thigh boxes. I'm assuming its reversed on the front as well?
  21. I'll be finishing off the belt today. Is there a specific way the parachute clips on the sides of the thigh boxes face? I hope this makes sense: On the clips there is a single loop on one side and a thread loop with locking "teeth" on the other. Does lancer require these to have one or the other facing a specific direction? Thanks, Isaac
  22. Got my DHV snout in the mail today. Pics on the helmet incoming.
  23. good luck with the build brother. Come hang out in Phoenix when you're done too!
  24. I ordered a KS and a CB because I need a larger helmet myself. RS Props also has a scout lid in the works and releases on May 5th I believe. You might want to use the KS for the time being and wait and see how large the RS turns out to be. Just a suggestion.
  25. love the belt brother!
