Thanks! Don't want to trim off too much, but I'll see what I can do As for the pouches that sounds like a good idea. I also thought about stuffing some fabric in there for temporary "filling", but I'll have to think about that one. Want to carry stuff in them as well, like a cell phone, cards (when I get approved, and order them) etc.

Thanks Jim!!

So far, so.....good? Still waiting for the helmet... But other than that I'm pretty much done. Just think I need to raise the knees a bit. Want the flightsuit to be visible between the kneepads and the boots. And I need to fill the pouches with something. Aaand sew some velcro in to keep the vest and bund together so the vest doesn't slide up. By the way: Don't mind the bits of strap sticking out from the top og the detonator, and the black safety pins (just something I had there to keep things in place before I put the belt together).

AWESOME!!!!! No, that doesn't even cover it... It's beyond awesome Lucky girl!

Ok, will do! Thank you!

Ok am I completely blind or is there no 2012 Lancer requirement overview here on BSN? Wanted to double-check that I wrote down the various widths of the elastic-straps right.... Or maybe that hasn't changed from the 2011 updates..?
-
Ok, thanks! I'll just glue them on as they are then, with the screws pointing forward.
-
Seriously?? Wow... ok, but that's not necessary for Lancer though is it?

QUESTION! The "screws" on the T-bits for the upper arm armour.... Are they supposed to "point" forward or back? I've seen pictures of armour sporting both options, but would be nice to know if there actually is a right answer here... There's obviously a left-arm/right-arm thingy going on here, since the screws on each T-bit are on opposite sides.
-
Didn't think about that... Might be a good idea. At least the line will be straight! Thank you!

HELP! Going to paint the black stripe-details on the tank soon. I've marked it up with masking tape but I'm unsure about the thickness of the line.... I'm on 3mm now for the large detail, does that sound OK? Same for the rank indicator stripes?

SC armour but MC belt. Thank you Considering that it's the first time I've ever made anything like this I am surprised it is even wearable haha... Can't wait to get the proper one I've ordered though. This one just has to pass GML and survive 2-3 troops. Hopefully it will! Yep, noticed the length of the buttflap, but hopefully it will be OK to pass...

Thank you guys! Yeah, the belt will sit pretty low on me. Knew that from the start really... That's the downside of being a small biker :/ But we'll see! The belt is next on my list so I'm hoping to get it done soon. Any tips on that? Rivet the plastic to the beltstrap?

Flightsuit is just temporary. Want to troop before I get the proper one sometime in August or thereabouts, so I made one myself. And let's just say that the sowing machine and I don't get along very well... Pouches will be filled and attached with velcro to the chest plate. Any comments and inputs are welcome!!! Yes, exactly! We're on the same page Haha, sometimes it's so difficult to explain these things

Thanks, Gary! Yeah I'll definitely use velcro for everything else, I was just unsure about the shoulders. So you only have the snaps and the plastic? I was thinking more in the lines of snaps on spare abs, glue that to the underside of the shoulders. Then sew the other part of the snap to each end of a strap and connect. ??

Oh my, I'm so bad at updating threads.... But I do have a little question now, what's the best way to keep the shoulders of the chest and back plates together? Straps and snaps? Then of course cover it with the required webbing.

I'm building a SC armor as well Not that far off from being done with it. This is my build-thread (not that good at updating it though haha... Shame on me) : http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=9307&st=0&p=76289entry76289 Any advice I would give you has already been given: take your time, and ask questions -
Oh ok, well send me the link once you start a build thread And I'll try to update this one as often as I get something done hehe
-
Thanks, Dan! So far so good. Just a few issues with the temporary flightsuit, but nothing I didn't manage to fix Still working on the armour though. Haven't had much time to work on it, but I try to do a little every day. I'm pretty small, so my SC is in need of quite a trimming hehe. But it's lovely and fairly easy to work with! Have you started a build-thread on the forum?

Marcel, how much did you cut off from the biceps and knees? And where did you cut? When I try the knees on they stick out quite a bit on each side (where the straps go in). Biceps look OK but maybe I should trim a little bit off the top?

Just what I was looking for! Thanks!!

Oh my goodness, that would be PERFECT!! Thank you! I say GO!
