I went for Lancer straight off the bat with an MC........ooooooh I got close. The main issue with the MC kit is attaching the TD - he offers two large Alice Clips which are great for practicality but not accepted for Lancer. With respect to the snout, I wan't keen on the MC one actually - if you're getting the TD greeblie from DJ get a snout too, IMO his have the best detail

KS are good from what I've seen. In my experience I initially went with the MLCv3 lid (this is the one that MonCal sources...I think!) - I thought it was fibreglass heh heh shows what I know!!! But there was no issue with weight. I recently acquired a LW and really like it's look 0 I've not trooped in it yet but it feels pretty good. I posted a 'LW vs MLCv3' thread in the bucket section. Andy has also posted a comparison shot of his KS vs LW lid in his own LW build thread - plenty info there

I agree - I never had an issue with my MLC lid - if I had the cash & space I'd have kept it!

For my LW build I went for a satin white finish, but I'm now wondering if I need to cover it (just the white!) with a clear gloss to give it that extra plastic shine? What's the concensus?

Just about got my new LW bucket sorted over trhe holidays - still a couple of tweaks I need to sort out but hey-ho. Just though I'd post a comparison pic of it next to my MLCv3 lid before I ship that off to it's new owner.......

I'm looking to start my build this weekend but have a few questions.... 1. Glue: specifically with regard to the reinforcements & the lid/faceplate - ideally I'd like to use CA glue (zap-a-gap) but this can sometimes distort the abs or should I go with ole faithfull - E6000? 2. sticking the lens - okay I've learnt to put te lens in the oven to get an even heat & then round it off against something of a similar angle, like a bucket or frying pan!! However I don't plan to use hot-glue to stick it in, what would be my best 'other' option? 3. Narrowing the faceplate - hot gun work scares me!! What did people do to get this right? Clam it in place then gently apply heat? two man job with one applying heat & the other 'over-bending', so it rests back at the correct angle? Thanks fellow buds!

I'm fortunate enought to grab one of these too - however the missus has snaffled it for christmas boooooooo! Hrvoje I'll be watching carefully...especially with regards to the heat-gun work on the face plate & lens - heat guns terrify me!!!!
