Man, thats a lot of pouches!! Using an airbrush to paint the camo pattern will really bring it closer to the screen grabs since all edges will fade. Ill have to buy some new colors to experiment with.

If we can id a detail from the screen thats great, next step down would be the 3d renders and official promotional stuff, then the licenced statues etc and last the toys etc. were a lot better of than some of the EU costumers who have all of our problems and even less to go on. You guys are doing a great job hashing this stuff out. Thank you!

Going by the limited screen caps here.... I cant fin my copy of ep3 ,hehe i a bad star wars fan, i would say that the base color is not the same for all the pouches. The 2 vertical pouches on the back seem to pretty consistantly be lighter. Moving from mu phone to the computer for a much better look now.

Darn right the digital pattern is closer! The dark color blocks are definately bigger on the screen grab than yhe cadpat. Im tempted to just use farbric paint through the airbrush to make that pattern. Like cadpat but with bigger chunkier dark shapes.

Here are the pics for my wifes scout submission. SC Lid, Balaclava, Raceway suit with pockets and cuffs removed, MC armor, Vest, Cumberbund and Pouches all scaled to little scout proportions by Mikes mom, BSN Tutorial boots with custom paint on the soles, and a KS blaster. Hey gang. When looking from the back: is the Velcro closure left over right? Thanks.

Is there a seam in the bottom circumference of the cummerbund or not.?? There's a hint of a line that could suggest a seam in that one MoM reference shot. I think the material is the same or very close to the nylon used for the xwing flak vests. Really hard to find just the right sheen on the nylon. I almost wonder if the nylon had to be 30 years old to take on that sheen. Uv exposure etc. different formula for the nylon I dunno, just can't quite nail It 100%, there must be a reason.

Hey Chick- I made a scaled down pattern for the pouches (wife is 5'2" ish) That would help the overall look i think. I can make you a set if you like- just gotta make sure i still have that material. Also there was a guys here who also posts on clonetroopers who vacc'ed his wife a smaller belt, check the 'builds for wives' type threads going back 8mo to a year and contact him. You could probably trim and re-shape the tops of the knees a bit to knock them down a notch without loosig the raised detail and return edge at the bottom. KS makes some biiiiig drop boxes- MC drop boxes would suit your smaller frame much better. Not that yours look bad- they're just big for little you. Hey Thea, I guess this wont quite be done for OCC. :- ( Lemme know if you need a cumberbund and pouches- weve gotten pretty good at those. wife is going TB too- hoping its done for OCC but it depends on the bucket getting here in time. I had to cut her MC stuff down a fair bit but itll look great in the end. Her build thread is up in the 'scouts barracks' if you want to see. Lemme know if theres anything we can do to help. I used a wide mens belt painted white (tulips fabric paint or ecoflow leather paint to avoid cracking). I almost always use flexible fillers- but especially on kids gear. flexible 'plastic surgery' by dominion sure seal is my weapon of choice but there are many (auto body supply shop). For a toddler: print out the pouch templates on this forum (fit to page on 8.5x11) print- check that out- should be the right size for a toddler. I used a velcro strip to attach chest and back covered by a white twill sleeve- same as the grown up kits. Good luck with the gloves- I suggest kids riding gloves (thats all i used for kids costumes) with homemade gauntlets sewn on. You can craft the ribbed section on the gloves if you're so inclined. I used 2 sided velcro throughout the build (wraps aroun onto itself) use that instead of elastic straps- works great. Hope this helps. Mike

Thanks for that Bro! That pic has bothered me for a while though. It looks like theres more than 6 vertical sections on the bund. But the bund at the top does span the (huge) gap between the pouches. On a little wee person -like 5'2" ish, the codpiece diaper bit will be narrower: it will Still span the distance between the 2 pouches and look as correct as it can on a person without all that room to play with the placement of things. So here is the 'bund in progress. It still needs to be turned inside out (the 1/4" batting is sewn onto the reverse side right now). Getting ready to finish it all off today. The pouches have been scaled down 6" tall, 5" wide, 2" deep, I made the patterns up last night, so these should be good for a shorty girl trooper. We've got spare material- so there will be 2 bund and pouch sets going up in the F/S threads tonight or tomorrow- for the Girl trooper 5'5" and under! Mike

There was a thread recently (i think) addressing tank gap- with some screen shot ref pics. There are some good MoM ref shots on the stidiocreations website too. If I find anything super usefull Ill send on. BC- Nice. Ive only hiked into BC so Ive only seen the backcountry promised myself Id return. I actually looked at flights to Vancouvers 1st Fanexpo this year but doubt Ill be able to squeeze it in money wise. You should be ready to rock the scout there though! Hey Adam, To heat form TB parts I rolled up some towels and pot holders really tight to the size and shape I wanted (slightly smaller than I want the plastic to finish out) and masking tape the roll to hold its shape. Then I tape armor down to the roll nice and tight and just slightly more bent than I want it to finish. I heat plastic slow and gentle and when its at the point of being slightly flexible I stick it out the window into the cold Canadian winter -40 deg LOL to shock the plastic into keeping its shape. Repeat as neccessary. This is way slower than just putting the heat to a part and bending it while wearing cotton gloves or what not, but you're pretty much garunteed not to ruin any armor unless you're really careless with the heat.
