Well ABS weld will form a bond in around 10 mins and fully bond in 24 hours, it is a funny stuff to use so have a practise with some scrap ABS beform commiting to the helmet, i would suegest as well sticking one side of the seam first and holding it by hand as i found these two parts of the ks do tend to move about alot when being put together, once that has stuck do the rest of the seam, you will know when the stuff is doing it's job as at first you will feel a slite cold reaction though the ABS when it warms up again it is setting

Just an add to this as the elections are going on... Top job sir! you have done all we asked and done it very well dude -
There's no evidence of the duck cloth at the sholder bridges being off white, and i personally have not seen it on any screen caps i have ( and i spent more than a week screen capping till the early hours for the Lancer, if you what some great shots of Harison Ford pulling faces i'am ya man LOL) They are just the white duck cloth but naturally dirty. Hope that helps Andry

No props dude if you need anything else just post or pm dude

MMmmmmm......Interesting, the only prop i see is the arch bits on the heal, but they are a more accuate shape than a walking boot "like these"

Thanks Berry i've updated most of my kit past lancer but have been stuck waiting for my MC armour (It's in customs as we speak) so just need to finish off, my best buddy and trooping pal AT-AT driver Aaron is a photographer and he's seid he'll do some shots for me so i'll pop them on here. To my understanding the "T" bits were made from the same light colour resin as the snout and painted, the weathering was due to the amount of abuse the armour took from the stunt guys

Me being the screen accuate obsessed dude i'am i did the movie used paint job about a year and a half ago, i think your doing an awesome job Berry and i always respect folk who go the extra mile for a accuate movie look ,"AWESOME BRO!" I'am changing my armour in a week or so but will be doing the same weathering this is my kit last Saturday And this is some of my armour last year with my old KS

No props Berry just seen the bit on the post JIm sorry dude LOL

E-6000 is great for armour (and scout boots) as it is a good flexable glue, but me on a personal would use a good ABS weld on a helmet, Make sure the back and cap are trimed well and sit well, onced glued together (with what glue you decide to use) make up some ABS paste with the left over abs from the build this will then be the same colour as the lid and applie to the join at the back and then sand, if done correctly it should do away with the need to paint:) i have used a K.S. like this for the past two years

Cyber Scout replied to Ducman82's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
This is one of the screen caps i took, showing the use of a much larger poss 1" strap As both sizes were used in the filming i thourt i lager bottom strap would sercure the knee armour better for trooping -

Flight suit modification for tall guys?
Cyber Scout replied to mxpxrobbie's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout HQ
Hay Robbie i have to do tthe reverse and make mine shorter, Being an ex-engineer i'am quite stocky but have little legs lol, i think the best for you would be to add some to the middle so not to ruine the line of the legs also by doing this your work will be hidden under the bund and armour -

If you use the ABS paste method it will sand flat just use a range of different grades of sandpaper to get the final finish you really don't need to buy a new belt bud. -

Hay Dude very happy with what you have done so far bud, and cannon socks too "GOOD MAN" LOL -
Just reading the thread and as Marcel has seid there would have been no "right" time to change the C.R.L. We are sorry to those who are in mid build at the mo but this needed to be approched at some point to keep up with other costumes within the Legion, As an original trilogy costume it should be given the respect it so righty deserves, the items added are main parts of the costume wich are needed for the overall look, The thigh straps and patch are as much part of the scout basic armour as the thigh of a T.K, I can totally see the point of the the guys new to the scout and why should we have them and having extra cost to the build but a basic scout even with the new C.R.L is a much cheaper costume than others like the T.K. or T.D. This was not updated to make things harder or to upset people it was done so all you guys are looking good,

Hay Eric go for option 1 as there was no ribbing on the top of sholder between the neck line and the sholder bell in the movie.

You got it bud, you Just need to shorten the blue arears so the white cloth covers the gap at 2". the red area great as i seid before the armour sits well on you sorry to hear you've had one of those days at work hope you have a better one tommorow
