Hello to you mike yes KS are one of the better lids at the mo i trooped with one for two years but i do stress that you get one as a kit and not a built as there are quite a few props with the way KS put them together and most of it you will have to change to mod it, and also you will save some money as they add cost on top for building.

Not to bad at all Matt and i'am very happy this suite is coming togther after all the proplems you have had As Rob has seid it just needs bits here and there, i can see there are no ridining patchies so you will need them to be cleared, also going with the floppy pockets when you fill them you may find the chest armour will need to be raised a touch but thats no big prop. all good bud

Now this is turning out to be a nice build "Top job sir"

New Scout: Question about MC armor ordering
Cyber Scout replied to dr. whodat's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Not at the moment thats what we are trying to find out, also it may not be the ones in the photo, but it is something like it, this is one of the great things about the scout cosy even after 2-3 years of research there still things to find out, unlike costumes like the TK as its all there vac formed from the original, we have to find out ourselves that for me is one of the many resons why i love the scout, we think it's pritty much the same as the TK set-up -

Help needed with KS armor
Cyber Scout replied to Smiling Fox's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Well after seeing this i'am shocked at the state of this kit, i have always recomended KS helmets to people in kit form as i think people at home can do a better job, but if they are sending out stuff made from two different types of ABS and how that right ear has been molded my endorsement will stop, i would take the advise of Chef and send it all back, I have two sets of scout armour one from Jeff ( SC ) and one from Cal and Kathy (MC) and both arived in awesome condition Pre-cut and packed well, and i'am sure Jeff if he see this thread would have some armour to you in two or three weeks, also Chef (Rob) is doing some nice helmets at the mo so it might be worth your while sending him a pm, if you have a proplem with getting your money back let me know as i will contact them also as i do not like this sort of thing happening to one of our Scouts on BSN we are here to get you looking the best not to patch up others total lack of customer care and shoddy items Take care buddy its not the end of the world we are on the case -
Awesome job bro!

I 'am so sorry to hear that Matt, as there is nothing worst than waiting mouths for parts only to end up with not what you asked for, it's happened to me so i know how upset you are at the mo, i hope it sorts out and i know this motley crew of BSN will try there hardest to get ya soted bud

New Scout: Question about MC armor ordering
Cyber Scout replied to dr. whodat's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Sorry to correct you Grant but Alice clips are accepted for Lancer (I know i wrote it) as they were used on the oringinals in the movie, yes they are smaller than the ones provided by MC but still alice clips, For lancer we will accept tie wraps or clips but personally i like to see clips on a Lancer scout. -

Cyber Scout replied to dr. whodat's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I just got a new MC kit and yes you do get a snout with it so you don't have to order another one, you will get all you need to complete the hard armour -
Hello Sara i modded my SC quite a bit as i'am 5'4" Sholder bells, biceps and a bit off the top of the chest and back armour at the sholder will be the main parts to mod, also weather you go for Lancer or not still change the drop box webbing as the cotton straps hang better on smaller people

Thanks me old, Hears a tip from Andys tool box LOL, if you want a good weathered look on webbind and pouchies use boot polish but do no brush it on, have a small amount on your thumb and finger and rub those fingers together with fabric inbetween do the on parts that would have natural wear like tops of pouchies. it takes time but done well looks awesome

Very good job sir ! i always like to see a well modded Rubies as to my knowledge they were cast from an original lid but then adapted for the toy/collectors market, and one done well has all the proper facial features baring the larger forehead space wich was compromised by Rubies "this is nice bud one of the best i've seen for a while" I've spent the last 2-3 years with John D (Lone Wolf) analizing Scout lids, and how you have slimed it down and "Put the curves in" is awesome weldone, i don't like the new fad of filling in the gap between the face plate and visor that eveybody seams to be doing at the mo, but i'am looking forward to see the lid finished dude
