Almost done. Just need my gloves and finish my thermal detonator.
-
Got the belt done today next stop is the thermal detonator!

I wouldn't worry to much about your T bits, they look fine to me. But for less than $10 for the Don Jarr greebles, the question is why not

Speaking of greebles, check out the Don jarr thermal detonator greebles on ebay. I just ordered mine and they are super cheap and spot on.

I use the term Dremel loosly. I actually use a black and decker rotary tool. But a dremel is pretty much a dremel. Dremel is actually a name brand. Looking for a local alteration shop, start with google and see what comes up. I don't have email addys for my friends out there. Just phone numbers. Im not sure how much experience they have with scout stuff. I think Michelle is working on one though. Beau is a Tusken and Michelle is generally a TK.

Sweet! Whats the MC armor made of? Trying to cut armor with scissors I couldn't imagine! Go get you a dremel. My dremel is the most used tool in my shop. As far as trooping buddies go, I think you'll want to give a shout out to the Golden Gate garrison. My friends Beau and Michelle are in that one and they live in San Fran. Your best bet on the soft armor is to find a local seamstress/alterations shop. Take the items in personally and tell em to make it fit you.

Heck yeah that looks great!

Yeah that tank topper is big! I had to trim off the front edge about a quarter inch to keep it from over hanging in the back.
-
Got the upper torso section completed.

She said she's using the old school MG armor. I had a set of that a few years ago when I first went down this road but sold it for DragonCon money LoL. Its obvious tho, that my belt is not SC.
-
Oh wow! Lou I see what you mean by the difference in the belt. The center buckle is unlike any of the others I see. The top triangle is completely missing! Anybody recognize this belt?
-
Not sure, I got this second hand and was told it was a SC kit, but I also didn't get the "bag-o-parts" either. In this world who knows? But I got a good deal on it

Got the tank assembled to the back plate. Painted the tank topper black too. I cut out the inside of the back plate to make more room for electronic goodies like voice amps and stuff like that. I heated up the tank topper over a heat gun so I could mash it down on the tank to eliminate any gaps between the top of the tank and the tank topper.

Well I have everything except for the gloves (grumble grumble). Started on the belt today. Trimmed it up, and joined the separate boxes on the SC belt. I used Devcon plastic epoxy and roughed the mating pieces and glued and clamped into place. I'll let that sit overnight. I also used a heat gun to contour the belt to my waist.

I ordered this suit and it finally arrived today. I can't complain at all. Its a great suit. It took a long time to get it tho as far as Ebay transactions go. Took about 55 days to arrive.

I found these but I think they look pretty cheap and not quite right and also quite expensive. What say the experts? http://www.evolutiontoys.com.ar/index.php?id=item&item=469
