I agree. It looks like a good start. Remember less is more, so don't go too overboard. You can always add more weathering later.

Jules, Welcome. Take your time and I'm sure your helmet will come out great.

Very nice. I'm super impressed with your skills. Have you made any other SW props in wood?

Marcel, Congratulations! Looking forward to seeing great things from you as the new Pathfinders Detachment Leader. -
Didn't sabergirl post a recent image of her MLC and MC snout at the beginning of the thread? I tried to look for my old MLC snouts that originally came with my helmets, but I must have thrown them away. If I were you, I would just order a new MLC snout. We know they are accurate, the correct size, and have a back plate already part of it. It just might take some time before you actually get it

Congrats!! Welcome to the Lancer Ranks.

MLC most have changed/upgraded his resin snout. The two snouts that I got from him when I purchsaed his MLC V3 Biker Helmets awhile back look nothing like the image. Back then, the only accurate Biker snout was MonCal and you had to create the back plate yourself Man, I feel old...

Lonewolf, Congratulations!!

All, Here's a really old post in the archives that discuss if there were two or three thermal detonator buttons. http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=660 Tyreil cropped the screen shot of the TD and adjusted the brightness and contrast to try to give a more definitive answer. You'll just have to judge yourself until (or if) we ever get more definitive proof, since the images are all we currently have.

I know that a KS Scout Blaster fits in a MC holster. In my opinion, the only real issue I can see when I've handled a KS blaster is that it is pretty heavy and without added support, it'll pull down your boot.

Amanda, Congratulations!

This is the same method I used on both of my Biker Scout helmets. It works awesome.

There is an old topic thread that had excellent images of the orientation of the Bicep T-Bits. http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=2798 Bluecyclone took screen shots and filtered the images to get a better view of which way they should be oriented. The details faced outward. The link to the images are gone, but maybe he can repost them.

Holding 2 Pieces of MLC Together
bdgr replied to Wickedfluxx's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Wickedfluxx, I have an MLC v3 scout helmet and don't use anything special to keep the facepiece from pulling away from the bucket when it's fully closed. It's pretty snug with the paint layers on the bucket and the inside edge of the facepiece. I do use black elastic for the chin strap, but it's recessed into the helmet, so it's not really providing any outward pressure to hold the facepiece closed. I guess if I had issues with keeping the facepiece fully closed, I would just use velcro. Hope this helps. -
J, Congrats and welcome to the Lancer Squad!

BrotherHalo, Hey. That's not very nice. I guess I suited up too fast... I'll try again.
-
Yep. I narrowed the crotch flap right away based on bluecyclone's comment, but was waiting to resubmit pics upon further word. I'll be suiting up this weekend to submit new pics with the change. Thanks.

One thing that was noticed of my original submission pics is that my belt may have been a little too high and that the bottom of the belt should have been lined up with the bottom of my cummberbund. Here are new front and back shots with the corrective adjustments. Please let me know if there are anything else that may need adjusting. Thanks. bdgr
