That is what we are thinking. Styrene might be the way to go for this set up. Army Scout

Now that we are going to start getting the armor ready, we need to figure out what plastic is better. We all know ABS is better for costumes...period. But it is a bit more expensive. And styrene is not as shiney and will yellow over time. Now for our armor, stryene might be the way to go cause we need to paint it up. But, we could just sand ABS. So what do you think??? I have talked it over with TK-1066 and we are going to start work on the armor in 2 weeks. I am looking into having someone do the helmet. More on that later. We will post images as we progress so stay tuned Army Scout

Agreed, I think most non 501st'ers would not know the difference of the camo patterns. Hell, I bet most of the 501st troopers wouldnt know. I think we need to stick with the 10 foot rule. As long as it looks right at 10 feet, were ok. Army Scout

I was watching a show on future weapons systems the other night. They were in Germany talking to some arty boys. (Gun bunnies) They were wearing a camo jumpsuit! Looked perfect!! Wish I could find a picture of that jumpsuit. Same camo as above! Ok, found a cheap set and ordered them. Here is a good image of the coveralls. We will have to dye that red/brown color outta there! I think we need to settle on one kind of camo. Something there is alot of and wont be a mother to find. Something that is not expensive but looke like the camo pattern we need. The undersuit is the dark camo, the armor is a lighter camo. I am thinkin of the lighter armor camo colors.

OK vest I think would be best. Now what color? Looks like the same camo scheme as the hard armor. Maybe a winter/white camo? Army Scout

After looking at the images, it looks like there is no diaper on the armor. So instead of a cummer like to old scout, how about we go vest on this one. Have you noticed... no seen belt either! Army Scout

I agree, I think the BARCs are in full camo with a solid color "vest" black gloves, tan/white boots. Man this is getting fun Army Scout
