Centuri Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 I found these locally but I'm not 100% convinced, i thought I'd post a pic here and get your opinions? Thanks in advance! Quote
lonewolf Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 These will work ok, for the Lancer you need a one piece sole. The dissimilar materials seem to only be on well made stitched boots. The best looking soles are not stitched, they are at the lower priced boot section lol. If you google or seach for canvas ankle boot or something similar , these are more likely to be rubber soles that are glued to the canvas and surround the base of the boot. Quote
lonewolf Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 http://www.ebay.co.u...006%26rk%3D1%26 Something in this colour would be great, the actual design is not perfect, good luck. Check out hiking boots etc. Quote
4505Marcel Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Agree with John look for a cheaper base boot mate, those at $80 are too expensive to use as scout boots and not perfect by no means Quote
Chex Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 I couldn't see spending that much for a base boot. If that's the cheapest you can find, def might want to check out ebay. It'll work for base acceptance though if that's your only option. Quote
Centuri Posted August 19, 2012 Author Posted August 19, 2012 Thanks guys. the price is in New Zealand Dollars, $80 NZD converts to about $65 USD, but agree that its still alot for a pair that wont pass for lancer. The other thing is that the smallest size they come in is still a little big for me. Thanks for the input! Quote
TB-7076 Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Still find these working boots too bulky to serve as scout boots. However....a lot of people use them. Quote
jaycee9 Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 These are the ones I'm using Cen. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LUGZ-Shoes-Matrix-Wheat-fashion-MMRXS777-Military-Style-Men-Size-/290752764116?pt=US_Men_s_Shoes&var=&hash=item89634bec0d Close to the original and soles have a base to cut for lancer. Just a thought? Quote
