Resizing pouches for smaller bods

I'm wondering if anyone has (or has looked at) scaling down the pouches to make them more proportioned to smaller folk?

I'm not talking a huge amount, say 90% of the available template size?

 

and if this is done, would this have any impact on achieving Lancer status?

_{it's been mentioned on the boards before. i would suggest taking everything in by 1/2" first on a paper pattern and hold it up to see if the size is better. if not, take another 1/2" and repeat. just be sure to take the 1/2" on all sides so that it is even.}

I just re-read the Lancer Requirements and its stated there:

 

Two pouches made to a suitable scale for your size that are made from a white heavy weight cloth ( off white if using off white drop box/ side armour straps), they should be touching chest armour and slightly overlapping belt.
