shdwtrpr13
so I'm working over this problem. I'm trying to figure out how to work the weight mangment. I want to make my pouchs' usable. What I'm trying to figure is where to attatch the pouchs. I don't want the bund to be weighed down by what I store in the pouchs. I have figured that I may attatch the pouch's to the vest, maybe the armor. But when I think about attatching the pouchs to the armor I think i may shift the armor. As for the bund I plan on having a velcro strip on the inside to attatch it to the vest to make it more stable and hold in place. So your thoughts? lonewolf
Phil used a clever strapping method if my memory serves me, or maybe have the cummerbund on braces and velcro/popper the pouches to the inner side of the chestplate. The original pouches were sewn onto the cummerbund, but were not intended to be usable. I have never used my pouces for anything other than the padding, they really are a waste of space for me. 4505Marcel
I carry a sound system, 8 AA batteries and a nokia speaker, also my mobile and keys in my pouches while trooping, I have my pouches sewn to the bund, but I do use braces on my bund under my vest which holds it all up, but to be honest I recon it would stay up without the braces as the bund is fitted so it grips under friction I suppose. I have foam rounded on the edges to pack my pouches with shapes cut out the back of the foam for the batteries, sound system ect so they cant be seen
loosetoon
I make sort of a velcro sandwich. Velcro on the back of my bund attaches to velcro on the vest. Velcro on the back of my pouch flaps attaches to velcro on the front of my bund. Velcro in the inside of my armor attaches to velcro on the front of my pouch flaps. Recap: Velcro on vest, velcro on both sides of the bund, velcro on both sides of pouch flaps, velcro on inside of chest armor. Locks everything nice and tight in place. Dart
I have my pouches velcro'd to the inside of my chest armour. My right pocket is just foam but my left carries my mp3 player and my aker amp. No problems keeping all that up. They don't pull the armour down at all, if anything it's the small tab that connects the 'bund to my chest that can sometimes pull. flashcove
My bund is buttoned to my vest. I carry miscellaneous junk, SW hand cuffs, Galaxy Quest communicator, wallet, car keys. My pouches are held to my bund with 1" velcro strips the width of the pouch, top edge only.
