Pandatrooper Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 I've seen people use both. Any idea what was screen accurate? Anything specific required for Lancer spec? I checked and there was nothing required. Thanks!
4505Marcel Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Nothing specific about the belt for CRLs as its not really seen. Velcro we believe is accurate like a TK, but when I did mine, the TD box kept getting knocked and un did the velcro all the time, so I stayed with the side relese buckle for practicality as its not seen anyway.
Dart Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 I use velcro for my belt and I've never had an issue. I believe the piece I have on mine is about 2" wide by 5 or 6" long.
bjsavage7 Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 I have a buckle hidden under my TD. Although I have often thought velcro was probably what they used on screen. Maybe we'll find out one day. LOL.
Chef Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 I used to have a buckle, but after some serious digging, we worked out that it was Velcro, so that's what I now have. Yeah, the Thermal Det arrangement is a bit of a bind, but I've learnt to live with it.
Southscout Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Can anyone with the velcro solution post a picture of it? I'm also considering to use velcro since I want to have some flexibility in how tight the belt sits.
Pandatrooper Posted August 3, 2012 Author Posted August 3, 2012 I just noticed this photo on the SC site. It shows a scout with no thermal detonator on his back. Granted this is not a complete nor necessarily screen used image (looks like the side straps are safety pinned to the belt!) but you can see that the back of the belt is overlapped and probably velcroed. http://www.studiocreations.com/howto/bikerscout/images/scout-back-leftside-chronicles.jpg This image here clearly shows it's velcroed. http://www.studiocreations.com/howto/bikerscout/images/washko_057_mvc-335f.jpg

Southscout Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Perfect shot! And with my Lonewolf-"inspired" belt clips it will look perfect!
