Handwash then allow to dry in hot water cupboard or outside depending on weather.

I don't. Almost 30 year old esprits don't like water. If they get dirty, I just wipe off witha damp cloth.

I don't. Leather generally doesn't need cleaning unless you spill something on them. Even then, you'd just need a damp cloth to wipe 'em down.

If your gloves get particularly sweaty/smelly, you can always ball up some newspaper and shove it in the gloves. That'll help with the smell and absorb whatever moisture is in there.

I don't wash them either...but I do let them air dry after a long, hard day of trooping! ;)

Good info. Thanks! The gloves i have are pretty gross and krusty inside. Almost feel like its hard and has fingertip encrusted spots. I was just trying to figure a way to eliminate that.

You should take them into a dry cleaner that does leather. They can tell you what they can do with them.

If the leather starts to get hard it may has been washed but not re-greased after cleaning. Take it to a laundry and ask if they can repair them.
