vecspeed12 Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Hey guys and gals, i was just curious, how do you guys wash your gloves? any help would be gladly appreciated. thanks! Quote
Marix Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Handwash then allow to dry in hot water cupboard or outside depending on weather. Quote
Chex Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 I don't. Almost 30 year old esprits don't like water. If they get dirty, I just wipe off witha damp cloth. Quote
Dart Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 I don't. Leather generally doesn't need cleaning unless you spill something on them. Even then, you'd just need a damp cloth to wipe 'em down. If your gloves get particularly sweaty/smelly, you can always ball up some newspaper and shove it in the gloves. That'll help with the smell and absorb whatever moisture is in there. Quote
Griffin-X Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 I don't wash them either...but I do let them air dry after a long, hard day of trooping! Quote
Cyber Scout Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Never cleaned mine, i like them worn in and weathered...Did ever clean my motor bike gloves ether after years of riding Harlys LOL Quote
M.J Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Never washed my leather gloves, thats including my motor bike ones too.....yes fellas ...long long time ago I used to ride...but that was before alot of you where born lol...... Quote
vecspeed12 Posted July 3, 2012 Author Posted July 3, 2012 Good info. Thanks! The gloves i have are pretty gross and krusty inside. Almost feel like its hard and has fingertip encrusted spots. I was just trying to figure a way to eliminate that. Quote
Dart Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 You should take them into a dry cleaner that does leather. They can tell you what they can do with them. Quote
Kaltblutfreak Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 If the leather starts to get hard it may has been washed but not re-greased after cleaning. Take it to a laundry and ask if they can repair them. Quote
