So i hit up Mrbungle for the color chart since he offered to send them out free of charged but i know he probably has been busy and hasnt been able to check the boards. Does anyone have a spare color chart they can possibly hook me up? Thats the only thing stopping me from finishing my bucket. Thanks

I am UK based, and have em, but I am sure a US based trooper could do it for you?

I'm also missing the color chart so I'm guessing on the colors based on the reference photos. I'm hopefully receiving my base paint today which will be Rustoleum American Accents: Fossil.

Edit: I finally re-found this in the CRL section. You should be able to print this out to match the colors:

I have a crappy printer so, im sure the colors will not be the same. The painted color chart would be the closest.

For the base coat (listed above), I used Krylon spray paint -- Almond Flat. You can get this at most Walmart's or K-mart stores. This is identical to the color chart.

As far as the Flat Earth Brown, I used the model paint Mr. B suggested.

For the green color, I matched the listed chart color to FolkArt's Acrylic Paint......Outdoor Barn Wood 1641. You can buy this at most craft stores like AC Moore or JoAnnes Fabrics. I hope this helps ya.

Ok, im going to try that. What model paint did you use for the brown?

Mike-

The brown is model paint -- Tamiya - Flat Earth color code - XF-52.

Here are a few photos of what the colors look like with my helmet . note - I did green wash the helmet. I also added some grime and weathering; but, the almond, brown, and green colors do show and stand out.

I know others have used different paints and techniques. Theses are the ones I found that are identical to the color code Mr. B provided back in 2010. I hope they work for you. If youo have any other questions, you an shoot me a PM or just ask here.

I used the Rustoleum Accents Fossil as a base. It's ever so slightly darker than the colour supplied by Mr. B on the sample , but once it's all togther and weathered it's hard to tell when stood next to another KST.
