I took the plunge and ordered my KS helmet kit. I also put myself on the list for a set of 3M bolts when another run is made, but now I want to get hold of one of the accurate MC snouts. In the past, my attempts to reach MC to get isolated pieces haven't worked, so I was wondering if there is a secondary source for this snout piece. I heard a rumor that there might be...

Thanks!

I got my KS without snout attached so I could replace it. Does anyone know if the donjarr snout comes with the backing plate too?

Posted

er..... depends on what he means by backing plate.

The DJ snout comes with the round 'faucet' bit and the engine block bit only (they are joined together). But that's all it has.

If he means the whole of the grey flat plate that goes up the front of the face-plate, then no, it doesn't have that bit.

Strange, I'll double check when I get home, I bought two sets from him a couple of months ago & though they did.

Yeah, there is no riser plate for the DJ snout greeblie. I made mine out of a piece of ABS, easy enough.

Apologies for any misdirection, I stand corrected. ;)

I have too many snout greebs at home & was trying to remember whose was whose....

Gotta admit though the Jeffs snout piece with the backing plate is an absolute beaut!
