Smooth on the outside

I've repainted my MLC v3 after the bondo inside leaked.

 

The helmet now feels a little rough on the outside. Should I sandpaper the paint a little with an extremely fine wet & dry to give it a nice smooth feeling?

Yes a fine wet and dry sandpaper, 1500 grit, use water with it, then use cutting compound lightly, then T Cut then car polish, it should shine up fine as long as there was a decent spray job in the first place.
