Guest CyraxLionheart Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Hello! I have been lurking on the boards for a little while, I am a member on several SW costuming sites. I am attempting to help a friend get a costume together for a Con; it will essentially be a loaner as he will be heading out for a deployment at the end of the year. I have been working with Pepakura Models, Fiberglass, Bondo, etc; I was wondering has anyone ever attempted a Scratchbuild helmet? I am about into phase 2 of the helmet. based off of a 3d model. Griffin-X Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Yep, I have seen several "home made" helmets using Pepakura. Quote

Griffin-X Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Very impressive Steve...and welcome to the Bikerscout.net site btw! Quote
ukscout Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Looks good, just need to bondo the helmet and start sanding I take it the visor won't go up? Quote
Guest Inferno Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Hey thanks guys! Yes, it hadn't even occured to me when I started to make the visor go up, but I'm seeing that around a lot now. This my first build for the 501st so it's not too extravagant, I'm looking forward to finishing up the bondo though, messy stuff! Quote
Boba Leo Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Welcome Adam and congratulations for your build!!!!!! Leo Quote
