Heatshock
Welcome to our Gallery of cleared Kashyyyk Troopers There is great variation in this costume, because unlike others, it has a camouflage pattern with different way of interpreting the CGI appearance. The point of this thread is to have a common place for new recruits wanting to see what has been cleared before in one convenient thread. Also for our very small but extremely proud cadre of specialised troopers to display their Kashyyyk Pride! Kashyyyk Troopers - the Few, the Proud! **please note - the costume is evolving constantly, please check the year of clearance of each cleared CB and current CRLs** Rules: (1) each cleared Kashyyyk Trooper will be allowed to have 1 post and 1 post only. You will be allowed to modify that post as you go along. (2) title to have the following format - Username / ID number / Garrison / Year of clearance (3) no limit on the number of pictures, but a standard set with at least 2 - full front, full back. Additional pics to show details are encouraged (4) pictures are for completed costumes only, not a WIP (5) comments only allowed on your own pics - including a comments about what you would want to improve on would be helpful (6) NO COMMENTS FROM OTHERS - this thread will be moderated strictly - nothing personal guys and girls! (7) once a costume has been sold on, the old owner has the responsibility to inform the moderators or change the title themselves to Username / ID number / Garrison / Year of clearance (retired). New owner is then welcome to start a new thread as per these rules (8) questions to be directed ideally to the post-author direct via pm (9) rules are allowed to be changed by moderators at any time Right boys and girls - show em if you have em! Heatshock
Heatshock / CB 4365 / UK Garrison / 2011 overall I think the edges of my paintjob need mroe "feathering" ie sponging to get the indistinct margins. It is done, its just not that obvious from 4 foot away! Compare it to my mate CB 4841, I liked the 'washed out' look of his paint job, and his edge feathering is very nice close up of my helmet details showing chrome base coat with layered weathering, black and earthy misting added. Black tank pin stripe detailing to be added. cummerbund cloth covered cod

LENOX61
LENOX61 aka- "WYSEGUY" / CB-5761 / GARRISON CARIDA / DECEMBER 6, 2010 : When I started my build, I had a idea of creating a Kashyyyk Trooper had had just been involved in a fire fight. My vision was to let the observer see a battle torn, blown apart trooper who had just left the trenches with the Wookies and or had just been to hell and back. I used several heavy weathering techniques which include scratching / ripping the armor, green washing, adding sand and other natural items to give the illusion of battle debris and shrapnel. With that in mind, here are some pictures of my "Dirty BARC Trooper " or "Swamp Thing" : Here are some close up pics of my bucket - Here is a few close up pictures of my filthy cumber bun, belt and custome made (canvas) ammo pouches - Here are some pictures of my gloves, cruddy shin armor, and boots - and finally...............Here are some pictures of my completed costume. Please excuse the right front ammo pouch which appears to be lifting off the cumber bun . I recently aquired a voice amp and hid it in the ammo pouch but did not realize it was lifting at the time of these pictures. I also added the black tank stripe to the rear armor - KASHYYYYK TROOPERS RULE ! EXECUTE ORDER 66!!!
Jimah
'Jimah' ('Fish' on TAG)/ 2997/ TAG (Terror Australis Garrison)/ 2011 My first shots are from when I finished the kit, and got approved, but prior to adding the weathering, scorch marks etc. They are detail shots of some of the armour components. Next, a few shots from my approval pics: (the biceps have since been slightly raised on my arms) An 'action' shot which might show some of the weathering and detail that has since been added. The following image gives a better idea of some of the weathering detail I have added, but please note the BFG was made for fun and is not canon for this kit. Hopefully these give a few ideas on how I have finished my kit. I guess the goal here is that we are going for consistency in our kits, rather than uniformity. No two camo patterns will be the same. But I hope that these images as well as the other shots of my brothers and sisters from The Swamp help the new CBs to get a handle on their builds.
