mariellejaworski Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 hello everyone, I need some help with the riding patches. I have pictures and all to see how it looks like and how big it has to be, but I have no clue how I do have to make it on the undersuit..... do I have to sew it on, or something else??? can please someone tell me this in detail??? I seriously don't have a clue on how to make it on the undersuit..... greetings, little treedodger Marielle
Griffin-X Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Yep, you'll need to sew it onto the undersuit along with the 2" elastic straps. I used stick pins on the undersuit to layout the patchwork, then made a paper template based on the pins. After that, I cut the material, then had it sewed onto the suit. The toughest part was getting the elastic tight enough (but not too tight) so it looked okay. Just take your time and you'll be fine. You've done a great job so far and overcome a lot.
mariellejaworski Posted April 12, 2012 Author Posted April 12, 2012 thank you for the information and the picture! does everyone sew this on the suit? thank you again for the information
Chex Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 I knew someone that used fabric glue, and yeah...not the best results, so they ended up sewing it.
