I know i´ve overdone the camopattern and the brown is too dark visor needs to be added and eye decals but would that color sceme and camo pattern pass 501st CRL´S?

I agree. The 'less is more' principle applies for camo.

 

Love the detail on the filter tips though!

If you're going by real world field-applied camouflage that would work but the camo seen in the movie is much cleaner due to the fact that

the textures of the CGI models are artificial and even in high res renders tend to be blurred.

I'd revisit the screenshots and existing CGI reference and change the technique. I think airbrush would work better than brushes.

- hey mate - we have already had pm discussions abt this

- all that has been said about the busy-ness of the paint job is correct

- I would disagree with the comments on the technique - brush with sponge is what it appears you have used, and it pretty good with the feathering on the edges compared to other 1st time attempts, I do not think that needs a re-do

- the other matter is the brown being too rich.

 

simple fix really, apply more base coat inbetween and lighten up the brown a bit more. Doesnt need a total sand and repaint imho

Thanks guys for all of the advices......

 

Right now i´m in a stage of fixing all that problems and raise some funds for the other parts of my KST. I´ll keep all of you updated and thanks to you Nate you ´re very kind and helpful.

I agree with Nate. I used foam offcuts to sponge on my camo pattern. Worked well, if I say so myself. I'll get some images up in the reference gallery on this forum soon.

That would be awesome this gallery is a absolutly great help cause everyone of you shows different views and aspects of the amor and the softgoods so this makes it easy to recreate.
