I have recieved my bucket and have started working on it, my British Desert BDU's are on the way, my cumberbund is on order and I am on the waiting list for Crow62 next boot order. My roadblock seems to be the KT armor. I have already heard from MB who is not making the armor any longer. I have talked to the person who supplied my bucket, and they are working on molds but it could be until the end of summer, before they start production. Anybody know of a new armorer or one that I do not know of yet. Apparently I started my build about two months to late. Story of my life. oh well, hope someone has some good news. Thanks

Welcome to BS.N.! Would be nice to have another Kashyyyk Trooper in the FLG. PM Heatshock and see what he says about armor. Also, if you haven't yet, join up on the Florida boards and say hi.

Chex, I am trying to get it together as fast as I can. I sent Heatshock a PM, we will see what he has to say. I am registered on the florida board, I just haven't done an intro yet. Will do that this weekend.

Well I have roughly trimmed all of the parts, I will start to smooth them out either later today or tomorrow night. But it is a start. :D

I have roughly set the lower leg armor together to try to get the lines for sanding done. Question from some of you guys who have already done this...Are my lines close to correct or am I way off on them. The rounded return on the front (from what I have seen on other kits) looks to end up all but straight with no visable return on the bottom. I just do not want to cut off too much.

Thanks for your input.

trick is to cut small, test fit, if needed cut again... use a barrel sander on a dremel, keep going until you can fit your foot in and its comfortable to stand in, (don't forget your calf "expands" when you stand.... I forgot! ouch!) If it starts to look like your going to run out of lip, stop, expand, add a shim, and check again :)

Thanks Tony, My Calves are pretty large to start with, so I will probably add a 1/2 inch of so to give me some swelling room.

And you'll have to be able to pull it up high enough to put your boots on. Then check to see if it will slide over the top of your boot and cover the "lace" area.

Hey Matt, Since my boots are pretty tall, I was thinking of cutting 2" off the top of them so I would not have to pull the calf armor up to high, this should work since the top of the boot does no get seen...Am I Correct?

I put mine on Tim, and it felt like someone was digging through my shins with a spoon!!!! Dremel to the rescue!

u are correct tim, my shin actually sits on my boot

iirc mb is the largest. bc and rkd shins are nicer shape but smaller.
