Hi Guys

Thank you to everyone for your trust and who voted for me to continue as DL of this fine detachment, I am over the moon to stay as on DL for anouther term. Really looking forward to the 2012 year ahead.

There are quite a few changes/issues that I want to address, and so I will be posting a thread soon for us all to post in and elaborate on each others ideas, to make the BSN better for everyone.

I noticed a thread on the FISD about scouts and some of our new scouts have said they found that we are not as helpfull as their scout thread, I find this a little disheartening as every new scout when signing up here is always greeted well and fellow scouts always say any help or questions fire away, my views on reading this thread was that guys just want to have all the info there without asking for help in black and white. So again we need to look at this.

New staff positions-

I would like to formally welcome Bob aka Brotherhalo back to staff and will be looking after the web issues along side Army scout.

I would also like to welcome to staff Mike aka Chex, and Daan aka 7021. They will be brought upto speed by Andi and myself and will be your new scout armourers for a trail period and hopefully taking the positions full time.

Daan will continue to be the guy you need to send pictures to for the lancer page as and when.

Thanks again

YAY another year.. Lets make this one better then last :-) About your comment about "the threads not helping"... I had a guy in my garrison (was a cadet at the time) talking at a build about how BSN wasn't helpful and how the people weren't helpful at all... I stepped up at that time and asked why he thought that. He had said that nobody came out and asked him if he needed help... He didn't like how he had to ask... I'm sorry, we are adults, if you need help you should be able to ask..

But then this got me thinking... What if we split up say the US and Europe into different sections and had like mentors to people doing builds. And this would be besides the armourers... Like kind of checking up on them during their build process...

Just an idea...

I understand your thoughts Heather but really dont want to put any graphical divides into the forum, we must unite together, Ive put anouther idea into the other thread which may help.

I'm glad to be back on board, Marcel! Try as I might, I just can't stay away from here for too long. This is THE place that started me down the road of the 501st and my love hasn't waned.

For those who don't know me, I've been a member on BSN since ... about 2003, I think. I've done stints as a moderator, Merch officer, ADL (now known as the Detachment XO), webmaster and DL. BSN means a lot to me and I've made a lot of friends here. I look forward to making many more!
