Guest troopermanx Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Just seen this on an auction site and I think it's one of the worst helmets I've seen, check it out http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/STAR-WARS-SCOUT-TROOPER-COLLECTOR-HELMET-COSTUME-FULL-ART-DISPLAY-BOX-COSPLAY-/150725575494?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2317f1c346#ht_1236wt_1163 It's truly awful
Guest troopermanx Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Ha,ha yeh looks like he's got a well fat face after hitting something hard.
Cyber Scout Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Looking at the price i think his head is still in it LOL
BananoPower22 Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 looks like it was left out in the sun for three years...
Griffin-X Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Score. I think you found THE worst scout helmet.
Cyber Scout Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 That's the Louie Anderson helmet! Could be Ken lol
automaton Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 This is the perfect helmet for those of you that keep complaining that your heads are too big for the other helmets available.
Scarcasm Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I especially love this blatant lie line. "This multi-functional masterpiece of craftsmanship is perfect for gamers and costuming applications. It's also a fabulous collector piece and will look magnificent among your other Star Wars collectibles".
4505Marcel Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Oh dear lord, please erase that from my memory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Junglie Scout Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 It is amazing what you can do with one though if you know what you're doing!! Mine wasn't far off that when I got it, but I did manage to turn it round. It is a horrible example I agree, not for the feint hearted; and no way is it worth that much either.........? 1
TB-6539 Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Oh wow... "WHAT TREE!" indeed! That flat helmet is so ugly it actually hurts to look at it. Thank you, Junglie Scout, for easing the pain by posting a GOOD photo
BananoPower22 Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 It is amazing what you can do with one though if you know what you're doing!! Wow, I can't believe THAT monstrosity can be turned into that beauty
Junglie Scout Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Yes Juan its possible. I used Acrylikhans tutorial which can be found on these boards. The album of my build can be seen here: http://s1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb378/ringbolted/Biker%20Scout%20Build/#!cpZZ1QQtppZZ32 I didn't start taking photos until the helmet had been reshaped but you can generally see what had to be done.
Chef Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Andy's lid and those that Acrylikhans Tutorial are based on illustrate exactly why I say that people shouldn't knock the Rubies as a budget lid. If you've got time/patience you can make something that looks like the above for less than you'd pay for a KS kit (which you'd then have to build). and I have to say, that bucket (Andy's) does look better than some KS ones I've seen.
BananoPower22 Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 To be honest it even looks better than my KS! Fabulous work Andy!
