flashcove Posted February 15, 2012 Share Posted February 15, 2012 After you've made some troops, you will find black stripes everywhere from everybody's weapons rapping up against you. Since most everybody's weapons are painted black with spray paint, and nobody in armor except biker scouts can see worth a darn, you get lots of minor collisions. Awesome (as seen on tv!) will clean off the paint very well, with very little effort. And best of all, it's available for (wait for it!) a dollar from the Dollar Tree! It doesn't fix scratches, but can take the paint out of them. A friend worked for a large department store that was bought out by Dillards. She worked in the china department, and they used Awesome to take the old price tags off every piece of china. Worked like a charm. Besides, it will help you remember the ultimate geek series, Chuck. Thanks for the tip! I know exactly what you mean...we can actually see what's up! I have begun to notice the marks and stuff but plan to leave them for "character". I fully agree, a clean scout is a REMF Scout. Haha, funny thing is I used some Novus Polish on my helmet yesterday. It looks like a mirror and I kinda regret it now.. That just sounds very wrong.... what you get up to for Valentines day, is your own business! Dart Posted February 16, 2012 Share Posted February 16, 2012 I usually keep the scuffs and marks unless they're a weird colour. For example, somehow I got a few purple and reddish-pink marks on my armour. I just took some really fine grit sandpaper (600 grit) and carefully sanded them off.
