elwyn5150
I think I drilled the holes for the rivels too close to the edge. There's a space of about 2 mm from the hole to the edge. I'm afraid of damaging the knee armour. I have MC knee armour. Which of the following should I do? a ) Add a think piece of PVC or ABS and hope that reinforces the area? b ) Have very lose elastic so that no pressure is on the weak point? c ) a + b d) attach the rivet but not to the strap. Superglue the strap to the plastic behind the rivet. Does it actually have to be riveted on or can it just appear to be riveted on?
4505Marcel
Wouldnt hurt to add a piece of abs to the back also, but once a rivit bites, it bites the whole circle if you like so feel you will be fine, there isnt going to be too much force on the outer edge from the elastic. elwyn5150
Thanks for the fast response. I am a little paranoid since my other costume (TK) has a crack from stress in the knee area.
