BananoPower22
Hey there scouts, I just wanna share what I've done so far with my KS helmet. I haven't done much, but something's something. I changed the KS decals with Trooperbay ones, and I'm temporally using the KS snout until the MC snout gets here. I've also ordered the 3m bolts which they should be here any day, and I'll probably end up painting the inside of the helmet in black since I misplaced the black mesh that the helmet came with and now I can't find it... I probably threw it away Any comment about the placement of the decals or anything else? Thanks for peeking brothers and sisters, I'll probably update once the 3M bolts and the MC snout get here. irob972
looks good:)are these ok for lancer?i have some black mesh i will give you if you need.
Chex
If you're going for Lancer, you'll need to paint the inside black and leave the mesh out. Looks good though. The black paint around the snout could be a bit more even. What I've used when painting mine and others, is the green Frog tape. Works like a champ and does a great job at preventing the small bleeding effect you have. Good job so far.

I was thinking of using some sort of black rubber spray paint, kinda like the same type used for pick up trucks (just because it looks and feels cool). Would that be okay for lancer? AdamS
Looks awesome so far. I can't wait to get to work on mine. How fast did the Trooperbay decals take to arrive? I'm probably going to order them as well. Also, What kind of padding are you going to do?
BananoPower22
Trooperbay decals took like two weeks to get here. Considering the fact that I live in Puerto Rico, it's a fair amount of time to wait. I've waited over two months for stuff to get here lol so I didn't complain about those two weeks. About the padding I haven't really decided yet. I think I'll be using random pieces of foam and cut them out and keep adding until it's comfortable and stays in place. Since the foam is yellow I think I'll be dyeing them in black... But I'm not really sure yet. I'll be sure to tell you once I get to that part
BananoPower22
just received confirmation that my mc (or mlc, idk i always get it wrong) snout has been shipped... should arrive any day now! just one question though, i ordered it with the 'riser plate' and I'm worried that it might not fit the KS' snout... has anyone used a MC snout on a KS helmet before? Griffin-X
The MC snout will fit the KS lid. I have one.

BananoPower22
My MC snout arrived Painting it The paint looks kind of messy but it's somehow the effect of the camera flash. Up close in person it looks fantastic! Once it dries I'll use some e6000 to glue it, snap some pix and show you all how it's looking so far. All I need now is the 3M bolt covers and next I'll paint the inside of the helmet. And about the paint on the inside of the helmet, does it has to be both back plate and face plate of the helmet that needs to be painted in black or just the back part?
