Angeal
thanks all, as here some more progess as I got around cutting out the intake vents on the side of the helmet. Got to smooth them out some among working on the overall helmet as their few "rough" spots that need to be fixed on it. But nothing bondo and time won't fix. Next going to change gears and work on the tank and backplate. Overall pic with a vent cut out Here a pic of the first test fit of it one w/o padding as I wanted to see if I could get my head in the helmet with the opening I have in it. Angeal
thanks all for the comments, I was hoping tonight to have some update pics of my back plate and my tank as I finally got to dry fit it and its clamptasic. But, will probably upload them tomorrow when I get to glue it to the back plate and its sits their drying to take a pic. Yeah I must be insane to work on the back plate and tank first before doing anything else, both my back plate and my tank has offically been named after an *@)# of a ex-girlfiend for that what they where, a beeich of a pain to get them close enough to be glued and clamped, as I may also fiberglass around the inside of the tank and back plate making them more secure for I have a feeling glue alone and bondo will not hold them together. Like my Republic Commando backpack that also was a beeach to put together due to it was the older armor not the new super easy to put together RC armor. I will be sure to keep you all posted on any updates, thanks again for commenting.
Angeal
thought I would post an update as I got my tank and my backplate married now, as I am working on a the shins down and hating it. Speaking of shines does anyone have any suggestions / better way to get the middle of the shin plate to glue, as I been using the boat load of clamps method? On a another note, drew up a template for my cumberbun pouches, using Mr Bungles blanks he let me borrow. These measurements were taken right off the blanks as he asked me to post these here as well for everyone. Again these measurments were taken off blanks and some minor modding my be required to make them look right on your body. All these can be printed on 8.5 X 11 paper
redkraytdragon
For your shins, try using some U-clamps with a long board between the two connecting them. One on each side of the shin (inside and outside). That's how I did mine and it worked out pretty well. Hope that helps!

Junglie Scout
Rob, try using some surgical tubing, like the theraband stuff: http://www.thera-band.com/store/products.php?ProductID=27. You can wrap it around your shins tightly and it'll hold them really well. I got this tip after I did mine and they were a pain to clamp. I used a big F clamp to hold the shins together in the middle, small clamps at either end and magnets everywhere else!!! They came out ok though!! Good luck with the rest mate. A.
